Creative & Editorial Makeup Looks
Beyond weddings, I love playing with textures, colors, and light. Whether it is a professional portfolio shoot or a high-fashion concept, I bring my 'skin-like' philosophy to every creative editorial project.
A goddess-like look created for a Varalakshmi festival shoot. The makeup is divine and regal, complementing the traditional white and gold saree.

A side profile showing the beautiful hairstyle and the intricate details of the blouse and jewelry.
A close-up of the eye makeup, showing the soft, shimmery tones and perfectly groomed brows.
A full-length shot that captures the elegance and grace of this traditional look.
A seated portrait that exudes timeless beauty and sophistication.
Another beautiful portrait, with the mirror reflection adding an artistic touch.
About this collection
Editorial makeup is a different beast from bridal because you are shooting for the camera lens, not just for people in a room. I shift my focus to how lighting hits your face, often using specific contouring or shimmer placement to catch studio flash without ever making your skin look layered or heavy.
When I collaborate with photographers and designers, the goal is often to create a specific mood or vibe that stands out in a portfolio. For these shoots, I don't follow a standard bridal template. Instead, I look at the lighting setup and the outfit's story to decide where the makeup needs to pop.
My Approach to Creative Shoots
- Lighting First: Studio lights can wash out features or flatten textures. I adjust my foundation and contour levels to ensure the dimension holds up under heavy flash or soft ambient lighting.
- Focus on Texture: Whether we are going for a glossy, dewy editorial look or a sharp, matte finish, the key is keeping the skin breathable. I use premium pigments that reflect light differently to create those high-fashion textures you see in magazines.
- Collaboration: I love hearing your vision. If you have a concept board or a mood you want to emulate, bring it. We can experiment with bolder eyes or creative color palettes that you might not wear for a traditional ceremony.
Whether it is a festival shoot, a brand campaign, or your personal portfolio, my focus remains the same: ensuring the makeup enhances the overall artistic direction without hiding your unique features. If you are planning a shoot in Bangalore or beyond, let's connect and work on a look that gets noticed.
