My tiger tracking expeditions operate with a maximum of three photographers per vehicle, ensuring everyone has the space to compose shots and the quiet needed to observe natural behavior without disturbing the animal. This is a deliberate choice; I would rather you return home with three intimate, thoughtful images than a hundred blurry photos taken in a crowded rush.
Understanding the tiger is not merely about spotting the animal; it is about understanding the stage it walks upon. When we head into the Sal forests of Kanha or the teak-rich jungles of Tadoba, we spend time reading the forest. We listen to the chital’s alarm call, interpret the fresh pugmarks in the dust, and wait for the forest to reveal its secrets. This is not a drive-through checklist. Whether we are on a 3N/4D residential masterclass or a day expedition, my goal is to teach you how to anticipate movement. We discuss ethical approaches, including how to read an animal’s body language and when to back away to avoid intrusion. The gear you bring matters less than your patience. Whether you are using a professional DSLR or a mobile camera, I work with you to understand the lighting in the golden hour, the composition of the frame, and the story of the animal’s survival in its habitat. We will also discuss the reality of conservation, how these zones are shrinking, and why every photograph is a piece of documentation for the wild. Logistics are kept straightforward. You get an expert naturalist guide, experienced in reading Central India's ecology, and focused time in prime safari zones. We handle the permits, the gypsy charges, and the technical instruction. You simply need to show up ready to learn, wait, and observe.
