I don't just take you to see tigers; I teach you how to capture their raw, unpredictable beauty. Join my specialized safaris in Kanha and Tadoba, designed for photographers who want to document the wild, not just observe it.

A young tiger peers through the dense foliage, giving us an incredibly close and intimate view. Moments like these are a reminder of how crucial it is to be silent and patient in their habitat.

A tiger's senses are its greatest tools. Here, framed by the tall grass, it listens intently to the sounds of the jungle. On my workshops, I explain how to interpret this behavior to predict their next move.

Using the Flehmen response to analyze scents in the air. This tiger lifts its head, curling back its lips to draw scent particles towards the Jacobson's organ. It's a fascinating behavior to witness and photograph.

The raw power of a tiger's snarl, captured in a low-key style to emphasize its formidable teeth and whiskers. This is a display of dominance, and getting this shot requires understanding the animal's mood and respecting its space.

A glimpse of a tiger through the trees in its forest home. This image shows the importance of composition, using the natural environment to frame the subject and tell a story of its life in the wild.

A short video showing me at work, followed by the resulting shots of a tiger emerging from the leaves and walking down a forest path. This gives a real sense of the safari experience, from spotting to capturing the final image.

A tiger on its morning patrol, bathed in the golden light filtering through the trees. We always start our safaris early to catch this magical light, which transforms an ordinary walk into an extraordinary photographic opportunity.

About this collection

We don't chase sightings; we track behavior. My approach is entirely about positioning for the light and anticipating movement based on alarm calls and tracks. You'll often find us at the gate well before sunrise, adjusting gear settings, like high ISO management for dense forest cover, so when that tiger emerges, you’re ready to shoot, not fumbling with your camera.

When you join my expeditions, you’re stepping into the role of a wildlife storyteller. We move away from the tourist mindset of simply ticking off animals. Instead, we focus on the art of anticipation. Whether we are in the core zones of Tadoba or the lush landscapes of Kanha, my goal is to help you master your gear, whether that’s a Nikon Z9 or a Sony A1, specifically for the challenges of low-light forest shooting.

Expect intense, practical learning. We’ll discuss high ISO management to handle the dappled light filtering through the canopy and how to track through visual clutter using specific autofocus modes. You’ll learn to read alarm calls and analyze pugmarks to predict where a big cat might appear next.

What you get on my expeditions:

  • Targeted Tracking: My drivers and naturalists prioritize photographic angles over volume, ensuring you have the best lines of sight.
  • Technical Mentorship: I provide real-time guidance on shutter speed settings to freeze motion and aperture control to isolate subjects from the forest background.
  • Gear Mastery: From menu banks to custom buttons, we optimize your setup before the first safari drive starts.

We operate with full respect for the wild. If you are ready to move beyond snapshots and start creating images with depth, narrative, and technical precision, let’s get into the field.

I am Girish. I pretty much live in the wild, chasing fog and sunlight with my camera. I don’t run tours; I conduct field workshops where the jungle is our classroom and patience is the most important piece of gear you’ll carry.
