Featured Bridal and Portrait Mehendi Designs
A selection of my favorite work, ranging from intricate bridal storytelling and realistic portraits to custom designs for festivals and baby showers.
This is the kind of full bridal mehendi I love to create. It features detailed portraits of the bride and groom on the palms, surrounded by traditional motifs and architectural elements that extend up the arms, telling a complete story.
A special design for a special occasion. This baby shower mehendi includes portraits of the mom and dad to be, along with cute baby-themed elements to celebrate their new beginning.
I can create a realistic portrait from a photograph you provide. Here you can see the reference photo on the phone and the finished mehendi portrait, showing how I capture a person's likeness with henna.
For festivals like Janmashtami, I enjoy creating spiritual designs. This portrait of Bal Gopal (young Lord Krishna) is done with fine lines and careful shading to bring out the divine details.
This design shows my skill with intricate patterns and shading. It's a full-arm bridal mehendi featuring bold lotus motifs and geometric grids, creating a rich and dense look without using portraits.
A bride's look is complete with mehendi on her feet. This design features beautiful peacock figures and delicate patterns that complement the hand mehendi, ensuring a stunning look from head to toe.
I was honored to create mehendi for these wonderful clients from abroad. It brings me joy to share the art of Indian henna with people from all over the world and see their happy faces.
About this collection
When you choose a design from this collection, you are getting more than just henna. Whether it is a portrait of a loved one or a specific ritual scene you want depicted, I plan the spacing and shading to ensure it fits perfectly on your palm. If you have a reference photo or a specific story you want to tell on your hands, bring it along and we can discuss the best placement for it.
My approach to mehendi starts with the quality of the henna itself. I use only organic, chemical-free paste to ensure the stain is rich and dark, which is crucial for bridal photography and traditional functions.
My Design Process
- Bridal Storytelling: For brides, I focus on 'zero-gap' coverage that extends from fingers to elbows or calves. We can integrate wedding rituals, like the Varmala or Sindoor Daan, into the arm design so your mehendi narrates your journey.
- Custom Portraits: If you want a portrait of a partner or a deity, please share a clear reference photo ahead of time. This allows me to sketch the outline and plan the shading needed to capture the likeness accurately on your skin.
- Festival & Occasion Styles: For engagements, baby showers, or Karwa Chauth, I adapt the density of the design. We can go for delicate, spaced-out Arabic patterns or bold, Indo-Arabic fusion designs that leave some skin visible for contrast.
I work out of my studio in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, but I am available to travel throughout the Mumbai Metropolitan Area for your event. If you are planning a bridal booking, we should discuss the design scope at least a few weeks in advance to ensure I have time to finalize the intricate details.
