About this collection

Every project shown here was driven by site-specific challenges, from refreshing a 40-year-old residence to revitalizing industrial office shells. Publications like Architectural Digest and Building Material Reporter have documented these transformations because we prioritize resolving structural inefficiencies—such as restricted light or poor layouts—before we ever consider the aesthetic finishes.

Design is rarely about a singular moment of inspiration. Our recognition in national journals stems from a persistent focus on functional, long-lasting architecture. For the Rooted Japandi Home, featured in Architectural Digest India, the focus was on the adaptive reuse of a four-decade-old Bengaluru property. We reconfigured the kitchen's orientation to expand the living area and integrated the balcony to improve natural ventilation, turning what was once a confined, dated layout into a spacious, serene home. The process involved custom-designing millwork in-house to match the aesthetic, ensuring a seamless blend of Scandinavian principles with local, earthy textures. Similarly, our inclusion in Building Material Reporter for the Heritage Sojourn Home highlights our technical approach to heritage conservation. This project required sensitive restoration of load-bearing structures and vintage roofing, demanding a deep understanding of traditional joinery and damp-proofing techniques rather than quick cosmetic updates. Our work for the Meghana Foods corporate office follows this same philosophy of adaptive reuse. We moved away from standard commercial interiors to create an environment that respects the building’s original footprint while introducing modern acoustic and HVAC systems. Whether we are stripping a site back to its bones or designing custom timber furniture, our methodology remains consistent: we respect the existing context to create environments that facilitate better living and working conditions for our clients.
