Your living room is where daily life unfolds. I design these spaces to be a harmonious blend of comfort, function, and personal expression, turning even compact city apartments into retreats that feel uniquely yours.

Reflections are a powerful tool in design. Here, an antique mirrored wall expands the living room of this seaside apartment, creating an illusion of depth while softly echoing the light and movement in the space. The effect is a luxurious, layered interior that feels both grand and intimate.

An airy living room from our Powai House project, where light is the primary material. The polished marble floor reflects the open sky, making the entire space feel bright and expansive. We used a clean-lined L-shaped sofa and a simple indoor swing to maintain an uncluttered, serene atmosphere perfect for a city home.

This living room in our Powai House project is a study in texture and form. A custom-patterned armchair sits beside a plush, neutral sofa, creating a dynamic yet balanced composition. The space is designed to feel open and airy, a calm retreat within a bustling urban environment.

We believe in creating spaces that flow seamlessly. This living area uses a warm, earthy palette with a dusty rose sofa and natural wood furniture. The layout is thoughtfully planned to feel cozy and elegant, proving that even in a compact Mumbai apartment, you can create a soothing and comfortable home.

Details from our 'Reflections' project, a sea-facing apartment. We curated sculptural objects and placed them on dark pedestals against a vertically panelled wall. This creates interesting focal points and conversation starters, playing with form and texture in a monochromatic scheme.

Obscure corners are opportunities for art. In this entryway, we used curated monochromatic pieces to play with form rather than color. A striped wall panel adds a graphic element, while the dark flooring grounds the space, setting a sophisticated tone for the rest of the home.

The 'Aria' living room is a gallery of sculptural forms. A large, spherical paper lantern hangs above a monolithic marble dining table, while a terracotta-red "melting candle" wall conceals the view, creating intrigue. Every piece of furniture is chosen or designed to be a work of art.

An informal bar becomes a central, sculptural piece in this living room. Crafted from dark stone with carved-out details, it overlooks the main seating area. This placement makes it a crucial part of the room's social flow, blending function with high design.

Framing a view is a key part of our storytelling. Here, two symmetrical, brass-toned arched cabinets frame the entrance to the media room, drawing the eye towards the majestic light installation within. This creates a sense of occasion and transition between spaces.

This is a corner of our own 850 sq ft home in Mumbai. It tells the story of bridging the gap between expectation and the reality of small spaces. A plush slipcover sofa, a woven coffee table, and large-scale abstract art come together to create a cozy, personal world.

About Living Spaces: The Heart of the Home

In my living room designs, I move away from modular units, choosing to build storage and seating on-site. This allows us to use every inch effectively, hiding clutter behind camouflaged doors or integrating hand-crafted sculptural pieces that reflect your personality rather than just filling a room.

My living room designs begin with a simple premise: a home should reflect the people who live there, not just current trends. In our 'Reflections' project, we utilized mirrored walls to expand the perception of space in a sea-facing apartment, allowing light to dance through the room. For the 'Powai House', we stripped away unnecessary layers, focusing on light and open layouts to breathe life into a standard city flat.

I work heavily with natural, local materials. Kadappa stone flooring, teak wood, and jute fabrics provide a warmth that synthetic finishes cannot replicate. When designing a living room, I often look for opportunities to make furniture do double duty. A partition might also function as a display shelf, or an informal bar might double as a room divider. The focus is always on creating a rhythm within the room—a space to glide, to greet, and to pause.

If you have a small apartment, do not worry about the square footage. The fight between reality and expectations is where I do my best work. We can reconfigure layouts, remove non-structural walls, and construct custom furniture that fits your specific needs, ensuring your living room feels both functional and grounded.
