We transform large residential plots into thriving, self-sufficient ecosystems. See how we use native planting and smart water management to create lush, low-maintenance landscapes that enhance community living.

This project is one of my proudest achievements. We took a two-acre barren site and built a complete ecosystem with rainwater harvesting and native plants. This before-and-after video shows the journey from dusty nothingness to a green landscape that now irrigates itself year-round.

A view of the Cedar String residential landscape, where we used layered greenery to create privacy for the homes facing the pool. The selection of native trees and shrubs ensures the landscape is both beautiful and adapted to the local climate, reducing the need for intensive care.

Here you can see how the landscape design provides a natural buffer between the residential blocks and the shared pool area. The sunken pool deck and raised planters create a sense of enclosure and tranquility, making it feel like a private resort.

The linear design of the pool is complemented by the soft textures of the surrounding landscape. Paving stones with grass joints and structured green pockets break up the hardscape, creating a harmonious rhythm that connects the built form with the natural environment.

This video gives a closer look at the sustainable landscape design at Cedar String. From the pebble-lined drainage channels around the pool to the diverse layers of native shrubs and trees, every detail is planned to manage water efficiently and create a resilient green space.

Take a quick tour of a villa within the Cedar String community. This video highlights how the landscape integrates with the architecture, from the private terrace garden and central courtyard to the views of the shared swimming pool, creating a complete indoor-outdoor living experience.

About Residential Community Masterplans

At our Cedar String project in Thanisandra, we started with two acres of dry, barren land and zero existing vegetation. Instead of importing exotic plants that demand constant maintenance, we focused on regenerating the soil and building an independent water cycle. Every drop of rainwater is now captured, filtered, and recharged through onsite pits, meaning the entire landscape sustains itself without relying on municipal water connections.
