About Outdoor Adventures
Outdoor shoots are wonderfully unpredictable. Unlike my studio sessions, these are about letting your child lead the way and explore at their own pace. Whether they are busy painting in the garden or cruising on their toy bike, we rely on natural light and curiosity to get those genuine, blink-and-you-miss-it smiles. 🌿
Why Choose an Outdoor Session?
Studio setups are great for controlled, thematic portraits, but the outdoors offers something completely different: freedom. When a toddler has grass under their feet or sand in their hands, they stop 'performing' and start playing. This is where I find the real magic—that focused look while they paint, the pure excitement of a jump, or the wonder of discovering a bug in the grass.
How We Make It Work
- Natural Light: I prefer shooting during the 'golden hour'—early morning or late afternoon—to get that soft, dreamy glow that makes outdoor baby portraits look so special. Harsh midday sun is tough on little eyes, so we work around the sun’s schedule.
- Props & Comfort: Just because we are outdoors doesn't mean we can't have themes. I bring along curated props like miniature armchairs, teepees, or even a classic 'biker boy' setup to give us a starting point. If your child gets tired or hungry, we pause. The schedule follows their mood, not the clock.
- Mumbai Locations: I know several quiet corners in Mumbai’s parks and accessible beach spots that are perfect for kids. We pick a location that matches your vision, whether it's a boho beach picnic or a vibrant garden painting party.
Preparing for Your Shoot
Outdoor baby photography in Mumbai requires a bit of flexibility with the weather, so I always keep a backup plan in mind. Bring extra snacks, a change of clothes, and be ready to get a little dirty. The best photos usually happen when you stop worrying about the mess and just enjoy the hour with your family. 🤍
