Infant & Toddler Swimming Classes in Whitefield
Gentle water introduction for your little ones, where safety, sensory play, and parent-child bonding come first.
That moment of pure excitement before jumping in! We build trust with our youngest swimmers so they feel brave enough to take the leap, knowing a coach is right there.
Using tools like pool noodles helps toddlers feel secure while learning to float. Our coach is gently guiding this young swimmer to find her balance and comfort in the water.
Communication is key. We teach infants to get comfortable with water on their face by making it a fun game, like blowing bubbles and splashing together.
From sitting on the edge to being held securely in the water, we make every step a positive experience. This is how we build a foundation of trust with our infant swimmers.
The joy of being lifted up in the water! These playful moments are a huge part of our infant swimming lessons, making learning feel like a game.
This series shows a complete lesson for our little champion, Anvika. From one-on-one instruction and floating with a noodle to practicing on a kickboard, it’s all about fun and progress.

Our coaches work closely with each child, offering encouragement and a steady hand. This interaction is crucial for building confidence in our infant and toddler swim classes.
About Infant & Toddler Aquatics (6 months - 5 years)
Our weekend sessions (Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 AM) are designed for both you and your child. We require one parent to be in the water, which helps build their confidence significantly faster as they feel secure with you nearby. We focus on sensory play, assisted floating, and breath control in a shallow, safe zone. There is no pressure here, just steady and happy progress.
At Sportonix, we believe water is the most natural environment for a child to start their athletic journey. Our infant and toddler aquatics program is not about teaching competitive strokes; it is about water acclimation and safety. We use sensory toys, pool noodles, and gentle guidance to make the water feel like a playground rather than a challenge.
Why the parent-child format? When your child is between 6 months and 5 years, the water can be intimidating. Having a parent in the pool creates a safe anchor that speeds up the learning process. You are not just watching from the sidelines; you are an active part of their development, helping them learn to glide and splash comfortably.
Important Practicalities:
- Safety First: Our instructors are always in the water with you. For non-toilet trained infants, swim diapers are mandatory for hygiene reasons.
- Preparation: We provide the noodles and floats, but please bring your own swim caps and goggles.
- Growth: Whether you are at our Whitefield Arena or another location, the goal is the same: happy faces and a foundation of trust. We have seen toddlers go from hesitant to happy splashers in just a few weeks.
- Progression: Once they master these basics, transitioning to our Kids Swimming Lessons becomes a smooth next step.
