Where traditional Carnatic ragas meet the raw energy of rock and jazz. From college festivals to intimate club stages, we bring the rhythm to life.

This is the feeling I live for on stage. A moment of pure connection with the music during our high-energy Carnatic fusion set at the AFMC Silhouettes fest in Pune.

There's no feeling like sharing the stage with my incredible band and seeing the energy of the crowd. This was us soaking it all in after a wild show at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune.

This is what it looks like when raagas meet riffs. My amazing guitarists trading solos during our rock-infused set, bringing a completely different power to traditional Carnatic melodies.

Here’s a little taste of the madness from our show at AFMC Pune. This after-movie captures the lights, the sound, and the incredible vibe of a college proshow.

Performing at The Piano Man in New Delhi, a legendary jazz club. This shows how we adapt our Carnatic fusion sound for a more intimate setting, blending soulful melodies with a cool, contemporary vibe.

The joy of performing at Saarang, IIT Madras. This was our band's first proshow for a crowd of over 2000, and their energy was just unforgettable.

A behind the scenes look at a jam session with my friends from the band Viprahar. Here we are playing with the chittaiswaram of a classic krithi, mixing vocals, keyboard, dholak, and mandolin.

About this collection

My live sets are built for high-energy interaction, featuring a 6-piece ensemble including electric guitar, bass, and drums alongside my vocals. We don't just perform; we trade solos and experiment with rhythm in real-time, designed to get crowds clapping and dancing from the first raga-infused rock riff.

Whether it’s the roar of 2,000+ students at IIT Madras or the jazz-club intimacy of The Piano Man in Delhi, my approach to Carnatic fusion remains the same: it has to move you. My band, Viprahar, is designed to bridge the gap between classical purity and modern festival energy. We run with a 6-piece setup including electric guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, and electric violin, allowing us to pivot from melodic krithis to full-on rock jams effortlessly.

I curate every setlist to balance high-energy crowd-pleasers with soul-stirring alaaps. For large proshows, we provide a full tech rider and manage our own FOH sound to ensure the fusion comes through clearly without losing the intricate nuances of the ragas. If you are planning a campus event or a music festival and want an act that breaks the traditional concert mold, we bring the technical expertise and the stage presence to make it happen.

Hey, I'm Spoorthi. I grew up with Carnatic music, but I’ve always wanted to see how far these ragas can stretch when you add some electric guitar and drums to the mix. It’s all about keeping the bhakti alive while letting the energy go wild on stage.
