Tennis Community at Shivaji Park Gymkhana
At Shivaji Park Gymkhana, tennis isn't just about the scoreline. It's about building a family, sharing a laugh after an intense rally, and growing together on these historic courts.
There's nothing quite like an evening of tennis under the lights at our beautiful gymkhana. It's a place to get fit, make friends, and de-stress after a long day.
For so many of our players, from the youngest kids to the adults in our evening batches, the tennis court at SPG is their happy place. It's where they come to learn, compete, and connect.
For many of us, tennis is therapy. It's a chance to clear your head, focus on the ball, and share a moment of sportsmanship with your opponent across the net.
We were thrilled to celebrate Women's Day with our "Queens Trophy" tournament. Here is a group photo of the more than 80 girls and women, from age 5 to 40+, who participated.
A strong woman lifts other women up. Celebrating the winners and participants of our "Queens Trophy" tournament, an event dedicated to our amazing female players.
Celebrating International Yoga Day on the court. We believe in holistic development, and practices like yoga help our players improve flexibility, focus, and mental peace.
From their first rally to their first trophy, we are there every step of the way. This is what it's all about: building champions and celebrating their success as a community.
Shivaji Park Gymkhana has a rich sporting heritage dating back to 1909. We are proud to carry forward this legacy by nurturing the next generation of tennis champions on these historic courts.
About More Than a Game
We believe that the best tennis happens when you enjoy the process. That's why we mix serious court drills with community moments—like our annual Queens Trophy tournament or evening yoga sessions—designed to help you de-stress and connect with other players, whether you're 5 or 50.
When you join us at Shivaji Park Gymkhana, you aren't just signing up for coaching sessions; you are becoming part of a sporting legacy that dates back to 1909. We have found that players learn faster and play better when they actually enjoy the environment they are in.
Our approach to tennis culture is simple: we create spaces where serious improvement happens alongside genuine friendship. You will see this in our events like the Queens Trophy, which brought together over 80 women for a day of spirited competition, or our rainy-day fitness sessions that keep the group energy high even when the courts are damp. We even integrate court-side yoga into our routines to help with mental focus and physical flexibility.
Located right in the heart of Dadar, our three floodlit hard courts are buzzing with activity from early morning to late at night. Whether you are an adult looking for a high-intensity cardio batch after work or a parent seeking a fun, pressure-free environment for your child, you will find a group here that fits your pace. We focus on fundamentals, but we make sure the atmosphere never feels like a drill camp. It is a place to leave the stress of the city outside the gates and find your rhythm.
