About Bespoke Furniture, Lighting & Decor
Every piece at Soch Design Studio is about bringing together your story and my approach to making things personal. I don't just make furniture for the sake of it - I try to create something that feels like functional art, using a mix of modern design and Indian soul.
How I Work
- I handle everything from sketching to the final piece, so nothing gets lost in translation.
- My go-to materials: teak and oak (sometimes even bent for those unique shapes), natural stones like Patagonia marble, and brass accents with that classic matt gold finish.
- Cane and rattan show up a lot in my work too - gives a zen or vintage vibe depending on what you like.
- I experiment with finishes, from soft pastel PU paints to textured concrete, so each piece has its own identity.
What I Make
- Living room stuff: reversible teakwood swings, comfy couches, accent chairs, center tables and TV units with clean lines.
- Dining: statement tables (like my Damru table inspired by Shiva’s drum), matching chairs.
- Bedroom: classic four-poster beds, custom wardrobes with cane, dressing tables with secret storage.
- Kids’ furniture: playful shapes, pastel tones, quirky handles.
- Lighting: custom pipeline lights, big brass fixtures that grab attention.
- Decor: handmade rattan pieces, vintage wall textures, bits of traditional Indian craft like Marodi work.
Your Style, Your Story

My Story
We’re Soch Design Studio, based in Mumbai. ‘Soch’ means ‘thought’ – that’s what drives us. I started this because I got tired of hunting for good furniture, so we built our own workshop and brought in artisans. Now, every chair, every table, it’s got that Indian soul but it’s modern too. We work with our clients, not just for them. If you want a space that’s got story, not just style, that’s what we do.
