About Building Trust, One Paw at a Time
I never rush a pet into a pose. Whether it is a shy rescue or an energetic puppy, we spend the first hour simply letting them sniff our gear and get used to our presence. If they need to hide under a bed or take a nap in the grass, we let them. When we prioritize their comfort over a shot list, that is when their real personality emerges.
Our philosophy is simple: animals do not need to be trained to be beautiful. A stressful environment leads to stiff photos, but a safe, familiar environment creates raw, honest moments. This is why our sessions typically last 2 to 3 hours. We treat this time as a playdate, not a photo shoot.
Whether we are working in your living room or at a local park, we follow the animal's lead. If they want to run, we track them with a gimbal for cinematic movement. If they want to sit quietly, we capture intimate, soulful portraits. We rely on patience and observation, waiting for the right glance or the subtle turn of a head.
