The Renovation Journey: From 3D Vision to Reality

Before we touch a single brick, you need to see your home in 3D. Here is how I turn digital renders into your actual living space, balancing your vision with practical construction.

The primary 3D render for the Arun Reddy residence in Hosur. This was the vision: a Vastu-compliant, contemporary home defined by its unique angular walls and a balance of solid and open spaces.

A 3D render of the Arun Reddy residence from a different angle. Visualizing the project from multiple viewpoints is a key part of my process to ensure every detail is perfect before construction.

The final night-view render for the Arun Reddy project. This visualization helped the client see how architectural lighting would enhance the home's features, turning the building into a landmark after sunset.

The initial concept for a renovation on Hennur main road. This sketch-over-render technique is how I communicate the core idea of transforming an old house with a new, lightweight contemporary facade.

The front elevation render for a renovation in NRI Layout. The challenge was to add two new floors to an existing building, and this visual shows how we achieved a modern, cohesive design.

This video shows the raw interior of a renovation in progress. You can see the new structure and the circular cutouts in the ceiling, which are planned for skylights to bring natural light into the center of the home.

About this collection

My 3D models aren't just for show. They act as a real-time blueprint for the construction team. When I plan a floor addition or a facade change, those renders define exact sunlight patterns and material finishes, ensuring what you approve on screen is exactly what gets built on-site. This stops surprises before they happen.

Renovation is often tougher than building from scratch. You aren't working with a blank slate. You are dealing with existing walls, foundations, and plumbing lines that dictate what you can and cannot do. My job is to respect the original structure while pushing it into a modern, functional space.

The 3D Visualization Process

When a client comes to me, they often have a loose idea of what they want. I take that and build it into a realistic 3D model. We look at the shadows, the ventilation, and how the light hits your room at 4 PM. If the 3D model doesn't feel right, we fix it there—not after we have spent money on cement and steel.

Handling Structural Challenges

Adding a new floor to an older building is a complex puzzle. I always conduct a structural audit first to check if your foundations can handle the extra weight. We use materials like lightweight AAC blocks and Fe 550 TMT steel to keep the structure safe without unnecessary demolition. For small plots, like a 20x30, I use double-height ceilings and internal wells to force the space to feel larger than it actually is.

Facade and Interior Makeovers

Whether it is a facade modernization using MS louvers or a full interior overhaul, I aim for a balance of solid and void. If you want a vastu-compliant home, we align the layout accordingly without compromising on the clean, minimalist contemporary look that Slate Studio is known for. From changing floor tiles and bathroom fittings to complete elevation redesigns, the goal is always to make your home feel like it was designed just for you, not mass-produced.
