Exhibitions, Guest Lectures & Art Workshops
Getting invited to speak at design schools and cultural exhibitions is one of the best parts of this journey. It is about sharing the craft and connecting with people who love art as much as I do.
I was deeply honored to receive this memento from the Chhattisgarh Cultural Department during the World Cartoonist Day exhibition. Moments like these are a wonderful recognition of the work I love to do.
Receiving a token of appreciation at the 'Visionata' event at Dr. B Hirey College of Architecture. I am always grateful for the warm hospitality and the opportunity to engage with different academic communities.
A group photo from the Cartoon Exhibition organized for World Cartoonist Day in Raipur. It was a fantastic two-day event filled with workshops and art, and it was great to stand alongside esteemed guests and fellow artists.
This photo captures the incredible energy after a mascot design session with students from Dr. DY Patil University's School of Design. Creating a positive and collaborative atmosphere is key to my workshops.
About Exhibitions & Community Events
When I conduct workshops or lectures, I don't just stand at a podium. Whether it is a 90-minute guest session at a college or a two-day exhibition workshop, I bring my iPad to demonstrate live drawing on the big screen. It helps students see exactly how anatomy, shape rules, and exaggeration work in real-time, bridging the gap between theory and actual practice.
My Approach to Community & Education
I believe art should not be confined to a gallery. My engagement with colleges like Dr. DY Patil University and events like Visionata is all about keeping things real. I do not come in with a scripted presentation or heavy corporate talk. Instead, I share the actual story of my artistic journey, the mistakes I made, and how I developed my caricature style.
For Universities & Art Colleges
My sessions are designed for students who want to see the application of design theory. We cover:
- Mascot Design: Moving from a blank page to a full character concept using digital tools.
- Anatomy & Exaggeration: Understanding the mechanics behind a good caricature.
- Live Workflow: Students get to see the entire process—sketching, inking, and coloring—projected on the big screen so they can follow along.
I work closely with professors to tailor these talks to the specific needs of the department. If the students have a project deadline or a specific area they are struggling with, we can focus our time there.
For Cultural Exhibitions & Community Events
Participating in platforms like the World Cartoonist Day exhibition in Raipur allows me to connect with fellow artists and the wider community. These events are not just about showing work; they are about fostering dialogue. Whether it is a public demonstration or an interactive workshop, my goal is to spark curiosity. Bringing art to the community is, for me, a way of celebrating our culture and making creativity accessible to everyone. If you are organizing a cultural fest or a creative summit, I am happy to bring that energy to your stage.
