It’s this change in speed and accuracy—and watching a child who was once afraid of math start to enjoy it—that tells the real story of our work.
Most parents come to us because their child is struggling with school math or counting on their fingers. It can be stressful for both the child and the parent. My goal at the Basavanagudi center has always been to remove that 'bhaya' (fear) and replace it with a sense of capability.
We use the Sutra method to teach mental arithmetic, which turns math into something like a puzzle. When a child can mentally calculate a table instantly without a calculator, it changes their entire attitude toward school. They start to feel smart, capable, and fast.
Over the last 10 years, my team and I have worked with hundreds of children aged 6 to 12. We don't just focus on the 'top' students. We focus on the ones who need that extra nudge to realize their own potential. Whether it's through our in-center classes here in Basavanagudi or our live online sessions, we maintain small batches so I can check every child’s method and give them individual feedback.
