From traditional Kundan and Zardosi to delicate floral knots, I help bring your vision to life through hand-embroidery that celebrates your personal story.

This video showcases a heavy Kundan work blouse, a testament to royal Indian craftsmanship. Each stone is carefully set by hand to create a dense, jewel-like neckline, perfect for a grand bridal look.

A detailed view of the hand-embroidery on a vibrant pink bridal blouse. This piece features a mix of sequin, bead, and thread work in contrasting turquoise and gold, showing the precision that goes into every stitch.

This video highlights the beauty of knot-work floral motifs. This dimensional embroidery technique adds texture and a handcrafted feel to the garment, seen here on a soft mauve fabric.

For a touch of glamour, I use diamond and crystal embellishments. This video shows a close-up of a heavily embellished motif on a royal blue fabric, crafted in-house by my artisans to add sparkle to an evening outfit.

This is a glimpse into the process of creating intricate pitta work. The technique involves beating down the embroidery to create a flattened, metallic effect, as seen here with red and silver floral patterns.

It's all in the details. This video shows my hand-embroidered tassel work, which can be added to a saree pallu or lehenga. These small touches, available in various colors like pink and royal blue, add a final layer of customization.

A look at delicate embroidery work in progress. This piece uses fine pearls and crystals to create floral motifs on a sheer organza fabric, perfect for adding a subtle and elegant touch to a dupatta or gown.

I offer custom embroidery services to transform any fabric into a work of art. This image shows an example of delicate floral threadwork, a service that allows you to bring your unique design ideas to life.

From intricate Zardosi on velvet to colorful threadwork, my custom embroidery services are at the heart of what I do. I work with you to create a masterpiece that is uniquely yours.

About Our Art of Embroidery

I don't rely on standard patterns for your outfits. We start by sketching out your ideas, whether you want to repurpose a family heirloom or create a new design from scratch. You can visit my Seawoods studio or we can coordinate everything over WhatsApp, ensuring every thread and motif aligns with your vision before my artisans even pick up a needle.

Our Embroidery Techniques

My team of artisans are masters of their craft. When you come to me for custom work, we don't just stitch; we create textures and depth using specific traditional techniques that define the Shukrana signature style:

  • Kundan and Zardosi: We use dense, high-quality metallic wires and stones to create that classic royal look perfect for heavy bridal lehengas and festive blouses.
  • Aari and Pitta Work: For a flatter, cleaner aesthetic, I recommend Pitta work, where we beat the embroidery to create a metallic, coin-like finish. It is durable, elegant, and catches the light beautifully without being overly heavy.
  • Knot-work and Floral Motifs: If you prefer something romantic and dimensional, our manual knot-work creates a stunning 3D effect, often used in our floral jaals and custom dupatta borders.

Transforming Your Wardrobe

Many clients come to me with a dilemma: they have a beautiful, heavy saree or a vintage piece from their mother or grandmother that they no longer wear. I specialize in the transformation process. We can deconstruct these heritage fabrics, reinforce the base, and re-embroider key areas to create a modern Anarkali, a crop-top blouse, or a contemporary skirt set. This keeps the sentimental value of your original fabric while giving it a second life for the modern wedding season.

The Collaboration Process

Whether you are based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area or shipping from elsewhere, the process remains consistent. We start with a discussion about your fabric choice—be it Georgette, Velvet, or Raw Silk—and the occasion. I guide you through the motif selection, showing you examples of our past work to help you decide between bold, statement-making designs or subtle, intricate detailing.
