About Saree & Ethnic Wear
Modeling for ethnic wear is more than just striking a pose. Because of my years of training in Bharatanatyam, I focus on 'abhinaya'—the art of storytelling through facial expression and body language. Whether it is the weight of a Kanchipuram silk or the flow of a modern linen drape, I look for the specific mood of the garment so your campaign connects with people rather than just looking pretty.
My approach to ethnic modeling is rooted in the same discipline I bring to the stage. When I model a saree, I am not just wearing it; I am interpreting the weave, the heritage, and the specific vibe of the collection.
Whether you need a commercial lookbook or an editorial campaign, I bring my classical training to the set. This means I understand how to use movement, posture, and expressions to make the garment come alive.
For commercial catalog shoots, I focus on efficient, precise posing to showcase fabric texture and drape across 15 to 20 outfit changes in an 8-hour shift. For editorial 'Hero' shoots, I lean into the storytelling aspect, using my experience to convey the emotion behind your brand's vision.
I am based in Bengaluru but am always ready to travel for the right project. From busy city streets to misty forests, I enjoy finding the right backdrop to complement the outfit. If you have a specific vision, let's talk about how to bring it to life.
