I treat a saree shoot with the same attention as a fine art portrait. My approach balances the technical aspects of fabric rendering, ensuring the drape and texture are distinct, with the atmospheric storytelling that traditional wear demands. Working across Bangalore, from my Whitefield studio to outdoor locations, I have learned that the success of an ethnic wear shoot lies in the details. When shooting textiles like Kanjivaram silk, Tussar, or hand-painted fabrics, my focus is on maintaining accurate color reproduction while capturing the movement and fluidity of the material.
