About Himalayan Highs: Spiti & Ladakh Adventures
A high-altitude road trip is demanding, and the weather in Spiti can drop to minus 30 degrees Celsius. I handle the logistics, like shared tempo travelers and verified homestays, so you can focus on mastering your drone shots or long-exposure astrophotography without worrying about the route. We keep groups small to ensure every participant gets individual mentorship on framing, lighting, and cinematic storytelling.
Not Just a Trip
These expeditions are about building an apna squad (our own team). We spend our days chasing the Milky Way, setting up drones for cinematic B-roll, and finding hidden angles that most tourists miss. Whether you are shooting on a flagship phone or a pro-body camera, I help you get the shot.
What You Will Tackle
- The Climate Challenge: Learn how to manage your batteries and equipment in sub-zero temperatures. I teach you how to keep your gear alive when the cold tries to shut it down.
- Astrophotography: Spiti offers some of the clearest skies in India. We conduct late-night sessions to capture the Milky Way, teaching you long-exposure settings and focus stacking.
- Cinematic Drone Flying: I demonstrate how to capture smooth, sweeping landscape shots. We move beyond simple flying to planning flight paths that tell a story.
- Landscape Composition: From the jagged peaks of Ladakh to the frozen monasteries of Dhankar, we focus on depth, scale, and finding the human element in wide-angle shots.
Logistics & Comfort
I believe in comfort that supports creativity. We travel in shared SUVs or Tempo Travelers to keep the group bonding tight. Accommodation is sorted in 3-star hotels or boutique homestays where we share meals and review our shots by the bonfire. This is about stripping away the noise of the city and finding that creative flow state in the mountains.
