For me, the Himalayas aren't just mountains. They are a classroom of silence and ancient stories. Whether it is the apricot blossoms of Ladakh or the spiritual energy of Kedarnath, I document the heartbeat of these lands through my lens.

The sacred Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand, with the majestic snow-capped Himalayas as its backdrop. The crowd of pilgrims shows the immense faith this place inspires.

The joyful and shy smile of a Brokpa woman in Aryan Valley, Ladakh. Her vibrant floral headdress stands out against the soft white apricot blossoms, a perfect picture of spring.

A view of the iconic Key Monastery in Spiti Valley, framed by colorful Buddhist prayer flags. The flags carry prayers on the wind, adding to the spiritual atmosphere of the place.

This is what heaven looks like. Showing local kids in Ladakh the drone footage of their own village, covered in spring blossoms. Their excitement is the real reward of my work.

A vibrant portrait of a smiling Brokpa woman in Ladakh. Her traditional attire, adorned with flowers and silver, is a beautiful expression of her unique cultural heritage.

A smiling woman from the Brokpa tribe in Ladakh, her colorful headdress a beautiful contrast to the white blossoms behind her. Her joy is a reflection of the beauty of her homeland.

Standing on the edge of a canyon in the Himalayas. The text "My Life is Full of सोचा कुछ मिला कुछ हुआ कुछ" reflects my philosophy that the best stories are found in life's unexpected turns.

A quick look at the process of portrait photography in Ladakh. It shows the interaction, the environment, and the final, powerful images of the local women in their traditional attire.

A time-lapse video of the Kedarnath Temple, showing the flow of pilgrims and the changing clouds against the Himalayan peaks. It captures the divine energy of this sacred site.

An aerial drone shot of Devprayag in Uttarakhand, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers meet to form the holy Ganga. The distinct colors of the two rivers are clearly visible from above.

About Himalayan Sagas: Ladakh, Spiti & Uttarakhand

Shooting in high-altitude environments requires more than just a camera. I pack light and focus on non-intrusive gear like Leica and Fujifilm systems, which allows me to blend into the surroundings. This approach helps me capture authentic, candid moments with the Brokpa tribe or local pilgrims in Ladakh without turning a sacred moment into a production.

My work in the Himalayas is not about creating postcards. It is about understanding the connection between the rugged terrain and the people who call it home.

When I am in Ladakh and Spiti, my focus is on the human element. You will see this in my documentation of the Brokpa tribe or the quiet dignity of the elders in remote villages. I use my drone not just for sweeping shots, but to show how these communities exist within the vastness of the mountains. Whether it is the golden Buddha at Likir Monastery or the simple joy of local kids seeing their village from the sky, these are the stories I chase.

In Uttarakhand, the energy changes. It becomes about faith and endurance. Documenting places like Kedarnath or the meeting point of rivers at Devprayag requires me to move with the flow of the crowd. I look for the small, quiet interactions amidst the spiritual chaos.

If you are planning to hire me for a Himalayan expedition, understand that my photography style is documentary. I do not do staged setups. I arrive, I observe, and I record the life that unfolds. We will discuss the terrain and the light, but the best shots always come from the moments we do not plan. Whether you need aerial footage of a landscape or candid portraits of a local community, my goal is to give you a visual diary that feels alive.

I'm Moksh, a storyteller who finds heaven in the mountains. My camera and drone are my companions as I travel from the chaos of Varanasi to the silent heights of the Himalayas. I don't believe in staged shoots; I just document life as it unfolds in front of me.
