Flamenco Immersion in Sevilla: 14-Night Intensive Training Tour
Andalusia is where I find my rhythm and my home. Join me in Seville for a deep, authentic dive into the birthplace of flamenco.
"Cuando el cuerpo baila, la mente olvida." This sign on a Sevillan street perfectly captures the spirit of our journey. It means, "When the body dances, the mind forgets." This is the feeling we chase in every class and every performance.
A typical sunlit street in Sevilla, where every walk to the studio is pure visual poetry. The vibrant colors and historic buildings are a constant source of inspiration, reminding us that we are living and breathing the culture of flamenco.
The charming balconies and wrought-iron details of an Andalusian building. This is the everyday beauty you experience on our tour. You stop and smile at every corner, taking in the details that make this city so extraordinary.
The stunning architecture of Andalucia, with bougainvillea adding a splash of color. This land, its people, and its art have embraced me, and I love sharing its mesmerizing beauty with my students.
The intricate details of a historic doorway in Sevilla. The city's rich history is etched into its architecture, providing a powerful backdrop for our deep dive into the equally rich history of the flamenco art form.
The entrance to Alameda de Hércules, a vibrant plaza in Sevilla known for its bohemian atmosphere and flamenco tablaos. This is the world we immerse ourselves in, where the art form is a part of daily life.
About The Soul of Sevilla
My tours are not standard sightseeing trips; they are 14-night deep dives into the art form I call my second home. You will train with local Spanish maestros for approximately 30 hours, focusing on technical strength, cante, and compas in authentic dance studios that you won't find on a typical travel itinerary.
Why Sevilla
Sevilla is the pulse of the flamenco world. When you walk the streets here, you hear the rhythm in the air. This tour is designed for dancers who want to move past the basics and understand the soul of this art form. You will be training in 'corralones', the authentic spaces where local dancers refine their craft, moving away from the polished studio environments you might be used to.
The Training Experience
We focus on 'Technique is Freedom'. You will spend your days in intensive masterclasses covering Baile (dance), Cante (singing), and the essential Compas (rhythm). I ensure every session includes a live guitarist, because learning to dance without the interplay of live music is only half the picture. We break down the complex beats, giving you the tools to express yourself, not just replicate steps.
Beyond the Studio
This is a 'familia' experience. Outside of the studio, we explore the city, visit historic tablaos to watch professionals, and share meals. I handle all the logistics—from studio bookings to artist coordination—so you can stay focused on your movement and growth. You will leave with more than just new choreography; you will leave with a deeper understanding of the culture, the history, and the music that defines flamenco.
