Single Immersion Workshop
Core Session
- Duration: Single session of 90 to 120 minutes typically held on Sundays.
- Venue: Rented premium studio in Khar or Bandra with sprung wooden flooring and full-length mirrors.
- Equipment: Complimentary in-class use of Castanets or Spanish Fans (Abanico).
Instruction Details
- Instructor: Taught directly by Shehzeen Cassum focusing on isolated topics or drills.
- Format: Offline only drop-in format without access to class recordings or student WhatsApp groups.
- Scope: Covers basic Spanish terminology and introduction to specific dance styles.
4-Week Choreography Module
Training Structure
- Schedule: 4 consecutive weekly sessions typically held on Sundays.
- Contact Time: Total of 6 to 7.5 hours of instruction depending on module intensity.
- Batch Size: Limited to 8 to 15 students to ensure visibility and personal corrections.
- Outcome: Completion of a specific choreography set like Tangos or Bulerias.
Student Support
- Digital Resources: Access to weekly recap videos and practice tracks via WhatsApp.

- Requirements: Hard-soled shoes are expected; registration fees are usually waived.
Intensive Technique Bootcamp
Technical Training
- Volume: 10 hours of pure instruction delivered in bursts or weekend intensives.
- Curriculum: Focuses strictly on pillars like Zapateado (footwork), Vueltas (turns), and Compas (rhythm).
- Audio: Includes specialized metronome tracks and footwork section music for practice.
- Exclusion: This course does not include teaching full dance routines or choreography.
Methodology
- Feedback: High frequency of individual technical corrections compared to choreography classes.
- Theory: Breakdowns of Flamenco codes and communication with live musicians.

Flamenco is my obsession, not just a pastime. It’s raw, emotional, and honestly, sometimes messy - but that’s what makes it real. I want you to feel that vibe, whether you’re dancing in Mumbai or joining from your living room.
Technique Sets You Free
I believe technique is everything. Without it, you can’t really let loose. I break down tricky rhythms (compas) and movements so you don’t get lost, but I never let the tradition lose its soul. You’ll build strong foundations, and yeah, you can dance till you’re old and grey.
Our Flamenco Tribe
If Flamenco calls you, you’re already part of our familia. Doesn’t matter your age, size, or background. My classes are open, safe, and honestly, pretty chill. We hang out, watch films, and support each other - it’s not just about dancing.
How We Roll
- Online Flamenco lessons: Live on Zoom, with a syllabus made for virtual learning. Miss a class? No stress, you get recordings and weekly recaps. I give personal feedback too.
- In-studio classes: Small groups in Mumbai (Khar, Santacruz, Bandra). More space, more attention.
Find Your Groove
- Beginners: Start from zero. Basic steps, footwork, arms (brazos), hands (manos). By week four, you’ll have a full minute of Flamenco choreography.
- Dive deeper: Try Sevillanas, Bulerías, Tangos, Guajiras, Farruca. Each style has its own mood.
- Technique workshops: Turns (vueltas), footwork (zapateado), improvisation.
- Dance with Spanish fan (abanico): Add drama and grace.

My Story
Andalusia, land of flamenco and sunshine, feels like my real home. The rhythm, the people, the art - all of it just fits me. Siempre estoy en mi salsa aqui... (Always in my element here). Decades at the Jerez festival shaped me, and now, even from far, my heart beats for that place. It’s wild seeing my own SCFA Flamencas travel there too. Teaching is my way to give back, help others find their own dance story.
