Every year, I am blessed to see my students make their way to Spain. I help curate their itineraries and guide them, whether on my official tour or their own solo journey. Seeing them flourish in the land of flamenco is my greatest pride.
About Our Flamenco Familia in Spain
This 14-night journey is designed for dancers who want to move past basic studio drills. I manage our access to authentic corralones (traditional studios) in Seville and ensure you work directly with local maestros who help you understand the essential connection between baile and live guitarists. You will be traveling as part of our familia, with my full-time support handling all logistics so you can focus entirely on your training.
When you choose to train in the land of Flamenco, the experience goes far beyond just taking a class. My focus is on ensuring you see Flamenco not as a performance, but as a language.
The Immersion Experience
During our 14-night stay in Seville, we dive into the deep end. We spend our days in intensive masterclasses that cover the three pillars: Baile (dance), Cante (singing), and Compas (rhythm). You will have the privilege of dancing alongside a live guitarist, a rare luxury in standard studio settings back home. This immediate feedback helps you understand how the music breathes and changes, teaching you how to listen rather than just follow steps.
Life as a Familia
We do not travel as a tour group. We travel as a familia. My role is to bridge the gap between you and the local artists. I have spent years building relationships with maestros in the Triana district and the city center, which grants us entry into circles that a standard tourist would never see. From watching professional shows at traditional tablaos to sharing tapas after a long day of practice, the goal is for you to feel the pulse of Andalucia.
Logistics and Support
I handle the operational side of things so you can concentrate on your growth. This includes:
- Accommodations: Shared boutique apartments or stays located in the city center or Triana.
- Support: Full-time mentorship and Spanish-English translation whenever we deal with local artists or studio owners.
- Training: Access to professional spaces with proper flooring suited for heavy footwork.
