3D Printing & Soldering Workshops for Kids
Most kids start with pre-built kits, but our students go a step further. Learn to design custom parts with 3D printers and master circuit assembly with precision soldering in our hands-on engineering labs.
This is our Young Engineers Club, where we dive into advanced topics like 3D printing. Watch as a student designs a model on a laptop and then brings it to life as a flexible T-Rex skeleton using our 3D printer.
Make your ideas happen with our soldering workshop. This video shows the basics of soldering, where students learn to safely use a soldering iron to make strong, permanent connections on a circuit board.
About Advanced Tech: 3D Printing & Soldering
The biggest leap for a young maker is moving from assembling pre-made kits to actually building from scratch. In these sessions, students stop using breadboards and learn to use a soldering iron to create permanent, professional-grade electronic connections. We provide the safety gear and the tools, while they provide the focus needed to transform a design on a laptop into a physical, 3D-printed object.
Beyond the Basics: Engineering for Real
Learning STEM shouldn't stay on the screen. We focus on two essential skills that every young engineer needs to master: 3D printing and soldering. These aren't just hobbies; they are the foundations of product design and electronics repair.
Master the Soldering Iron
Breadboards are great for prototyping, but soldering makes projects permanent. We teach kids the proper technique to connect components safely. They learn how to use flux, tinning, and heating to create strong, clean joints on circuit boards. This is where they learn precision and patience, and the satisfaction of seeing a project they built actually function without loose wires.
CAD and 3D Printing
When a student wants a custom part for their robot—like a specific gear or a chassis mount—buying it isn't always an option. We teach them to design their ideas using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Once designed, they see their concept get printed layer by layer. From a simple T-Rex skeleton to complex mechanical parts, they learn the entire workflow of digital manufacturing.
Why Join Us?
We believe that innovation doesn't need a fancy address, just the right tools and guidance. Our workshops in Andheri and Kandivali provide exactly that. Whether your child is looking to build a career in robotics or just wants to understand how the world around them is built, these sessions offer the hands-on experience they won't get in a standard classroom. We provide the kits, the printers, and the safety supervision. All they need to bring is their curiosity.
Science Kidz
We founded Science Kidz because we believe learning is about getting your hands dirty with circuits, code, and robots. We are here for the thinkers and the creators who want to try, fail, and try again. Let's build and innovate together.
