About Summer Camp & Fun Activities
You do not need to bring a thing because we provide every bow, arrow, and safety guard you will need for the camp. The sessions are designed to be practical, focusing on getting you comfortable with the Indian Round Bow and aiming at targets, culminating in fun matches that turn learning into a game.
Whether you are a complete beginner or looking for a productive way to spend your summer, our 10-day camp is built to get you shooting with confidence. We operate out of the Veer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak in Dadar West, utilizing a functional outdoor paved area that provides the perfect backdrop for learning.
We keep it simple: you show up, we provide the gear. You will learn the basics of the Archer's T stance, how to nock an arrow, and the essential safety protocols that every archer must respect. We specifically use Indian Round Bows, which are constructed from traditional wood and bamboo. These are lighter and easier for beginners to handle than modern metallic recurve bows, making them ideal for learning the fundamentals of the sport.
It is not all dry technique, though. The last few days of the camp often transition into friendly matches and balloon-bursting challenges. These games are not just for fun; they teach you how to handle the pressure of a competition and refine your precision when it matters. By the end of the camp, you will have a solid grasp of how a tournament works and a certificate to show for your effort. If you find your flow, many of our summer campers decide to join our regular monthly practice batches to continue their training.
