Youth Archery Coaching & Competitive Training
We coach students aged 10 and up, building the focus and discipline needed to go from beginner basics to competitive state-level archery.
Our youth archery program starts with strong fundamentals. Here, young archers learn discipline and focus using traditional Indian wooden bows during a state competition.

About Youth Archery Program (Ages 10+)
We focus on 'perfect practice,' ensuring that every student learns the correct stance, T-Draw, and release techniques before increasing distance. Whether your child is starting with a traditional Indian wooden bow or moving to a competitive recurve setup, our sessions at Karnala Sports Academy or the Pillai College campus are designed to build the physical strength and mental sharpness required to hit the target consistently.
From First Shot to Podium
Our youth program is designed to take archers from their very first lesson to competitive match play. We don't just teach you how to shoot; we teach you how to compete.
The Learning Path
- Foundation: Beginners start with traditional Indian wooden bows, focusing on stance, grip, and range safety at 5-10 meters.
- Intermediate: Students transition to recurve and compound bows, learning to use sights, clickers, and stabilizers as they increase their distance up to 50 meters.
- Competitive Prep: For students aiming for district, state, and national tournaments, we conduct mock scoring rounds, teach competition etiquette, and provide the intense training needed to perform under pressure.
Why Our Training Works Archery is as much mental as it is physical. We incorporate conditioning exercises to build shoulder and back stability, which are critical for precision. Our coaches provide direct feedback on every shot, helping students identify and correct micro-errors in their form.
Academy Environment We operate with small batch sizes, typically 8-12 students, to ensure every archer gets personal attention from our coaches. With morning and evening batches available at our New Panvel locations, we make it possible for students to balance school schedules with their training. Whether your goal is a new hobby or a state-level medal, our academy provides the gear, the range, and the coaching to get you there.
Drona Archery Academy
I am Mukesh Gurdhale, and at Drona Archery Academy, I teach my students that the target is a test of character. I guide young archers from their first arrow to the podium, focusing on the discipline that turns a student into a champion.
