Puppetry is more than ventriloquism to us. It is the heartbeat of the Padhye family. From the time my grandfather introduced this art form to our household, the goal has remained consistent. We combine traditional puppetry with high-energy ventriloquism, ensuring the humor appeals to everyone from children to grandparents.

Our performance lineup for this cluster often features the iconic Ardhavatrao, the puppet that has entertained audiences for over a century. Performing alongside my father, Ramdas Padhye, is a distinct experience. You see the seamless passing of the torch and the joy he still finds in every show. My wife Rujuta brings her own precision with string puppetry, and our daughter Neeva is now stepping into the act, representing the fourth generation of our family tradition.

Whether it is a private gathering or a public festival, we do not follow a rigid script. We read the room. If the crowd is younger, we lean into our high-energy, modern puppet interactions. For family celebrations, we incorporate observational comedy that touches on relatable local topics, keeping the energy lively.
