Behind the Scenes: How We Create Your Fashion Look
A look at what happens before the final shutter click. We manage the lighting, direct the movement, and coordinate with the team to make a creative vision real.
From behind the camera to the final shot. This video shows a glimpse of our on-location process, followed by the stunning results of the model's fashion shoot.
About this collection
People usually see the polished final image, but the real work happens during the setup. I spend a significant amount of time adjusting angles and guiding your movement so you feel comfortable, not stiff. Whether we are chasing soft natural light in a garden or using reflectors for a controlled studio setup, I am right there directing the poses to ensure the fabric texture and accessories look exactly right on camera.
How a Shoot Comes Together
Photography is rarely just me clicking a button. It is a collaboration. When we shoot a designer catalogue or a model portfolio, the process is structured to ensure every detail stands out.
The Setup and Tech
I shoot primarily on a Sony Alpha A7RV paired with a Sigma 85mm Art lens. This combination allows for sharp, editorial-grade images that define high-end fashion work. Lighting is managed through a mix of natural light setups and portable LED fills with reflectors. My approach changes based on the brief: if we are shooting ethnic wear, I prefer outdoor natural light to bring out the richness of the fabric, while western wear often gets a more dramatic, studio-like lighting scheme.
Direction and Collaboration
If you have never modeled before, you do not need to worry. I provide active direction on how to stand, move, and hold a pose. I also work closely with your makeup artists and stylists to make sure the look remains consistent from the first frame to the last.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you provide the studio? The packages cover the shooting time and equipment. Studio rental costs are separate if we decide to move the shoot indoors.
- What about the team? I handle the camera and direction, but I recommend having a dedicated stylist and makeup artist on board for best results.
- How quickly can I see the results? Standard delivery for portfolios is 5 to 7 days, though priority delivery is available for influencer packs.
