I do not always carry a bulky camera, and I do not always need one. These shots prove that real storytelling happens when you are present, not just looking through a lens.

A low-angle shot captures a woman in a pink saree winnowing grain against a bright blue sky. This dynamic phone photo freezes the falling grains in mid-air, creating a beautiful, energetic scene.

The silhouettes of two people on a wet beach are perfectly reflected in the water, along with the clouds. This symmetrically composed phone shot captures a moment of serene beauty.

The setting sun is perfectly framed by the silhouette of a branch, appearing like a tiny fruit. This creative and well-timed phone photo was taken overlooking a river at dusk.

Looking straight up at towering palm trees against a blue sky. This simple yet effective composition, taken on my phone, creates a striking starburst pattern.

A man stands alone in a long, colorful corridor, absorbed by his phone. This candid shot uses leading lines to draw the viewer in and tells a quiet story of modern life.

The reflection of colorful buildings ripples on the surface of the water. This abstract phone photograph plays with color, light, and texture to create a painterly effect.

A view from a plane window showing a dramatic formation of clouds. This phone shot captures the magnificent and ever-changing landscape of the sky.

A short video from a flight, showing another plane passing by and the vast expanse of clouds below. It’s a simple travel moment captured on my phone, reminding us to travel responsibly.

About Phone Photography: The World Around Me

I do not treat these as lesser photos just because they were shot on a phone. The goal is always the same: finding rhythm in chaos. Whether it is the texture of a wall in Dharavi or the light on a beach, I am looking for the frame that tells the full story without any professional studio setup.

The technical specs of a camera matter less than your eye for a scene. When I document life in places like the potter's colonies of Dharavi or the monsoon-swept villages of Maharashtra, I want to be invisible. Heavy gear creates a barrier, but holding a phone allows for instant, honest access. This is the core of my documentary approach.

Whether you want to capture the energy of a local market or the solitude of a quiet corridor, I work with the environment as it exists. My documentary sessions include four hours of coverage, focusing on natural light and candid interaction, resulting in a set of high-contrast, story-driven images. This is perfect if you want to avoid the stiffness of posed portraits and prefer visual storytelling that feels real. If you are looking for a photographer who values the mood of the moment over technical perfection, this is the way to go.

I am Sanket. I chase moments rather than pictures. My phone is my constant companion for catching the fleeting street scenes and quiet details that most people walk past.
