Taekwondo Training Philosophy and Discipline
This is where we turn sweat into strength. At Sanju Taekwondo Academy, we do not just train for medals; we train for life.
This is the reality of our training. We start at 6 AM, breaking our limits before the world wakes up. Every kick and every punch is a testament to our dedication, a result of months of 'tapasya' (penance) to build a better version of ourselves.
Many think Taekwondo is just about fighting, but I teach my students that it is much more. This video, led by one of my dedicated students, explains how we build focus, discipline, and life-changing skills, from beginners to black belts.
Our "Little Champs" program is designed to build a strong foundation in a disciplined yet fun environment. Here you can see our youngest students working on agility drills and flexibility exercises, learning the value of hard work from day one.
I train my students not just for the dojang, but for the competitive arena. This clip highlights one of my students, Aahana, showcasing her skill and courage during the Asmita Taekwondo League, a result of relentless practice and fighting spirit.
Discipline is the foundation of my academy. Here, there are no excuses. This is not your home; it is a place of learning where rules, like bringing your equipment for fight day, are non-negotiable.
In today's world, children are lost in mobile phones and video games. I believe Taekwondo is the answer. It provides them with a strong mind, a healthy body, and essential self-defense techniques, building a better lifestyle and a stronger mindset.
The journey in Taekwondo is about breaking yourself down to build yourself up stronger. This is the path of a true martial artist, a daily process of pushing past pain and finding the strength to rise again, every single time.

We do not offer shortcuts or easy fixes. Every training session begins with a mandatory 15-minute conditioning drill, because I believe that physical endurance and mental discipline are the true foundations of any successful martial artist.
At my academy in Bindapur, we believe that martial arts is a 'tapasya' or penance. Whether you are a beginner or looking to compete, the journey begins the same way: with commitment.
My curriculum is built on three pillars. First is conditioning. You will run, skip, and stretch until your body understands what it is capable of. Second is technique. We practice Poomsae and fundamental stances until they are second nature. Third is controlled sparring. This is where we test your Kyorugi or competitive skills under pressure.
I do not tolerate excuses. If you come to my dojo, come ready to leave your ego and your mobile phone at the door. I am tough, yes, but only because I know what you are capable of achieving if you push past the 'I cannot' phase.
For the little ones, we have our Little Champs program which channels their energy into respect and focus. For the adults and professional athletes, we ramp up the intensity with full-contact training, plyometric drills, and district-level competition prep. We are not just training fighters; we are training people to handle life's challenges with the same composure they show on the mat.
Everything we do here, from the safety mats under your feet to the gear we use, is designed to keep you focused. If you are ready to stop making excuses and start working, you are ready for this academy.
Sanju Taekwondo Academy
I am Nandan, but everyone calls me Guru Ji. I started this academy as a tribute to my son, and today, every student here is part of my family. We do not just teach kicks; we teach you how to stand back up when life knocks you down.
