Deepen your connection with Hindustani shastriya sangeet through our traditional Guru-Shishya training in Koramangala. We guide students of all levels, from beginners exploring basic swaras to advanced practitioners mastering complex ragas.

Our students perform a Vilambit Bandish in Raag Brindavani Sarang, accompanied by live tabla. This raag is known for its devotional connection to Krishna, and our students work to capture its rich, expressive character.

Young students attempt a composition in Raag Durga, a popular late-evening raag that evokes devotion. Learning such pentatonic raags helps build a strong foundation in swar and taal for our junior shishyas.

We present our student Anushri Patnaik performing a devotional Meera bhajan during one of our baithak sessions. These intimate concerts provide students with invaluable experience performing with live tabla and harmonium sangat, a crucial step in their musical development.

Students practice a composition in Raag Desh, a raag that evokes the fragrance of the soil and a feeling of patriotism. Our classes focus on merging devotion and artistry, allowing students to connect with the divine through music.

A look into our hybrid classroom, where students attend both online and in person. Here, they are practicing alankars, which are foundational exercises that build pitch accuracy and help in creating various combinations of swars.

Our students and Gurus immersed in the practice of Raag Vrindavani Sarang. This raga, with its delicate and emotive melodies, allows students to express a deep sense of devotion and longing, connecting them to the rich heritage of shastriya sangeet.

About this collection

Unlike standard music academies, we integrate performance into your learning from the very beginning. Every student is encouraged to perform in our monthly baithaks with live tabla accompaniment, bridging the gap between solitary riyaz and the stage.

Our approach is rooted in the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara, a lineage that values patience and inner growth over quick results. Whether you are a beginner exploring the first swaras or an advanced practitioner perfecting a vilambit bandish, our curriculum is designed to make the music feel like an internal journey. We operate out of our Koramangala studio, maintaining an atmosphere of discipline with traditional floor seating, which we believe is essential for maintaining the correct posture and focus required for classical vocal training. We emphasize Gayaki Ang, teaching you how to reproduce the nuances of vocal technique. Beyond theory, we prioritize Sangat (accompaniment). Students are not just taught to sing alone; they learn to interact with the tabla and harmonium, a skill that is crucial for any aspiring classical vocalist. We also understand the realities of modern life in Bengaluru, offering hybrid options for those who cannot commute to Koramangala, ensuring the continuity of your riyaz. We focus on specific ragas like Brindavani Sarang and Desh, helping students internalize the aesthetic mood of each piece rather than just learning notations.
