Join our close-knit family at our Bangalore studio, where we teach rhythm through structured, exam-oriented lessons, preparing you for both solo performance and classical accompaniment.

Young learners beginning their journey into the world of percussion with a tabla class. Our teaching method focuses on correct posture and hand techniques from the first day.

A guru plays the tabla during our Guru Purnima celebration, with students and parents gathered around. Live accompaniment is a key part of our teaching, immersing students in the tradition of Indian classical music.

Our gurus and students stand proudly in our studio, with a collection of tablas and a keyboard visible. We ensure our academy is fully equipped with high-quality instruments for all our classes.

About this collection

At our studio, we do not just teach the mechanics of the instrument; we train you in the art of sangat (accompaniment). Whether you are preparing for Prayag Sangeet Samiti exams or learning to support a vocal or dance performance, you will practice on traditional floor setups with live interaction, avoiding the common reliance on recorded beats.

Structured Rhythm Training

Our tabla curriculum is built on the foundation of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti syllabus. We guide you through the basics of posture and hand positioning before moving into complex taals (rhythmic cycles) and bols (syllables). Because our academy functions with 17 dedicated gurus, we are able to group students by their actual skill level rather than just age, ensuring you get the specific one-on-one correction needed to master every beat.

The Art of Accompaniment

Many students learn to play solo but stumble when it comes to playing alongside a singer or dancer. We bridge this gap by teaching sangat—the subtle, essential art of following a lead performer. You will have multiple opportunities to apply these skills during our annual 'Pratibha Darpan' shows and other community festivals throughout the year.

Offline & Online Flexibility

If you are based near Jeevan Bima Nagar, we invite you to our studio for the traditional floor-seating experience. For those with busy schedules or living outside Bangalore, our virtual classes mirror our offline curriculum exactly. While you will need your own pair of tablas at home, our teachers use interactive video feedback to ensure your technique remains technically sound regardless of location.

Certification Pathway

If you are looking for a formal path in music, we facilitate the entire exam process. Our quarterly terms are structured to prepare you thoroughly, covering everything from theory preparation to the practical exams required for diplomas and degrees.
