You get 100% of your instructor's attention with our one-on-one sessions, whether you are in our Sahakar Nagar studio or learning online. We focus on getting you comfortable behind the kit or playing Indian percussion, balancing technical rudiments with the fun of actual performance.
Your Path to Rhythm
Learning percussion is about more than just keeping time. It is about understanding the conversation between different instruments. At Mela Music School, we treat the drum kit as the backbone of the band and Indian percussion like the Tabla or Mridangam as a deep connection to classical roots.
Western Drum Kit Our drum lessons cover everything from basic rock beats to complex rhythms. We provide access to quality gear in our Sahakar Nagar studio, including acoustic kits. You will work on coordination, limb independence, and the theory that makes a song click. If you are aiming for certification, we prepare you for exams like Rockschool, but if you just want to play your favorite tracks, we help you get there too.
Indian Percussion If you prefer the Tabla or Mridangam, our instructors focus on the nuances of Hindustani and Carnatic rhythms. These sessions are meditative and physically engaging, helping you improve focus while learning a foundational instrument in Indian classical music.
