This is Chapter 1 of Tabla! Watch my youngest students answer basic questions about the instrument's history and demonstrate the first few bols they've learned. This is how we build a strong foundation from day one.

When you start here, we do not just jump into complex theory. We start by building a real connection with the instrument. If you are a total beginner, we focus on hand placement and basic bols first. For my youngest champs aged 2 to 7, I use custom sized tablas that actually fit their hands, so learning feels like play instead of a chore.
Whether you are looking for tabla classes in Delhi or want to join my online tabla lessons from anywhere in the world, the goal remains the same: understanding the soul of the rhythm.
My teaching style breaks down the complex structure of Indian classical percussion into manageable, exciting pieces. We cover everything from the basic history of the instrument to complex compositions in Teentaal.

- For Beginners: We start with the foundation. You will learn the history, the first bols, and basic hand positioning. We keep it simple until you get the sound right.
- For Advanced Students: If you have been doing your riyaaz for a while, we dive deep into complex bol kaydas, intricate rhythmic calculations, and improvisation.
- The Tablagram Environment: If you join in-person at my academy in Delhi, you get a dedicated studio space with acoustic treatment. If you are joining online, I use a professional audio setup and specific camera angles so you can clearly see my hand placement and fingering techniques.
