The Artist & The Process: Behind the Sand Art
A behind-the-scenes look at the hands that craft your stories, from live event stages to the quiet moments of creation.
A moment captured between performances. Being an artist, performer, and entertainer means I am also a traveler, living and breathing stories both on and off the stage. This is a glimpse into the life of an artist on the move.
A photo from an event, reflecting on the nature of my work. I see myself not just as an artist, but as an artisan, someone who hones a craft with dedication and skill. It's a distinction that defines my approach to every story I tell.
It was an honor to be invited as a judge for Alla Prima '24, the Annual Art Fest of SSCBS. Supporting and encouraging the next generation of artists is something I am deeply passionate about.
Standing before a wall of art, I am always reminded to "Boldly Go Forth." Every piece of art is a new journey, and as an artist, I am constantly inspired to explore new creative paths.
A quiet moment of reflection at an event venue. The life of a traveling artist is filled with these moments of pause, surrounded by the art and atmosphere that fuel my own creativity.

Another shot from my "90s" series. The setting is often a hotel lobby or an event space, the temporary homes where I prepare to go on stage and share my art with a new audience.
Posing next to a vibrant painting. I draw inspiration from all forms of art, and being surrounded by the work of other artists always ignites my own creative energy before a performance.
A candid moment, lost in thought before a show. These quiet times are crucial for mentally preparing to channel the right emotions into the sand and onto the screen.

About The Artist & The Process
Every time I step up to the light box, I am aware that the image I build is fleeting. Sand is a medium of change, and my art is about capturing a lifetime of memories into a few minutes of performance. It requires a calm hand and a deep understanding of your story, because once the music fades, the sand is all that remains.
My journey began six years ago with a handful of sand and a simple desire to tell stories that matter. Since then, I have performed over 1000 live shows across the globe, from intimate weddings in Delhi to large-scale corporate events. This cluster offers a glimpse into that life—the travel, the awards like the Kalakari Film Festival recognition, and the quiet hours of preparation before the stage lights go up.
The Craft of Storytelling
Sand art is not just about drawing pictures; it is about rhythm. When you watch a live performance, you are seeing a real-time collaboration between my hands, the music, and the script. Whether I am telling a family’s history or a brand’s evolution, the process starts with a discovery call. We sit together, we talk about the moments that define you, and then I translate those memories into a sequence of visuals that flow into one another.
Why Live Performance Matters
There is a different kind of energy when I perform live. Unlike a pre-recorded video, a live show captures the silence of the audience as they watch a silhouette form, and the reaction when the story hits a familiar chord. I use a mix of sand and fire in my performances to create depth and drama that keeps guests engaged throughout the event. From my studio in Noida, I travel across India, bringing this experience to venues of all sizes. If you want a performance that anchors your event in emotion, let's talk about how to bring your story to the stage.
