Raising Creative Kids: A Path for Mindful Parenting
To raise a creative child, we must first learn to be creative ourselves. Join my parent-inclusive workshops where we unlearn perfectionism and practice mindful listening, creating a home space where your child feels truly heard and confident.

A group of committed parents during a workshop session, ready to learn and unlearn for the growth of their children. The realization that we have to raise ourselves to raise our children is a powerful one.
A candid moment from a parent workshop where we discussed the importance of playfulness and letting go of perfectionism. The smiles show the relief and connection that comes from sharing the journey of parenthood.
In this parent session, we discussed how making time for "idleness" or "not concentrating" is crucial for creativity, both for us and our children. It's about shifting our perspective from constant productivity to mindful presence.
"He has improved a lot." Feedback like this from a parent, noticing their child's growth in confidence and effortless writing, is what encourages me to continue on this path.
A parent shares that the workshop not only improved their child's writing skills but also enlightened their personality and made them aware of their strengths. This is the holistic growth I aim for.
"Grateful... for all the guidance and love all through these years." A heartfelt message from a parent on a milestone anniversary. These relationships are the foundation of my work.
A parent beautifully captures the essence of my workshops in a poem, celebrating that her child now writes with pleasure, even in leisure. This is the natural love for expression I hope to inspire.
"Your positivity and the belief you have in the kids helps build their creativity." This feedback from a parent means the world to me. Trusting in a child's intelligence is the greatest gift a facilitator can give.
A parent shares that their daughter was always looking forward to the classes and has developed a habit of writing poems. This is the goal: to make writing a joyful and integral part of their lives.
About For Parents: Raising Creative Kids
I often tell parents that if we want our children to write freely, we have to start by silencing our own inner critic. My sessions aren't just for the kids; they are safe spaces for you to examine how you react to your child's mistakes and how to pivot from lecturing to genuine curiosity. We focus on the Unearth framework, where you will learn to trade your need for 'correctness' for a deeper, more playful bond with your child.
Moving From Perfection to Connection
Parenting is not an external project but an internal journey. In my workshops, I help you see that the anxiety you feel about your child's marks or performance is often a mirror of your own fears. We explore how to create a 'nothingness' space at home—a place where your child can be idle, play, and just be, without the constant pressure of productivity.
The Parent-Inclusive Approach
My programs, such as the Unearth cohort, are intentionally designed to be inclusive. We don't just teach the kids; we equip parents with the tools to listen better and offer support without assuming. Through shared sessions, we look at how to:
- Unlearn perfectionism: Recognize when we are subconsciously conveying that marks matter more than effort.
- Practice mindful listening: Shift from offering advice or assumptions to simply being present when your child is upset.
- Embrace vulnerability: Admit to our own struggles, which gives our children the psychological safety to express their own.
Why This Matters
When we drop the role of the authority figure and step into the role of a fellow learner, the dynamic shifts. You will notice your child moving from hesitant, fearful writing to finding joy in their own voice. This is the goal. We are building an ecosystem of trust, where your child feels safe to experiment, fail, and grow. Whether you are navigating your teen's search for identity or your younger child's need for expression, this space is here to help you get there together.
