This is the first thing a potential client will see. I have selected these visuals to tell a powerful, multi-faceted story about the impact of my workshops across different age groups. They showcase the joy, confidence, and profound self-discovery that happen in the safe spaces I create.
Workshops for Teens (Ages 12+): Finding Your Voice
In my workshops for adolescents, we go beyond writing to tackle the big stuff: anxiety, self-doubt, and the search for identity. I create a non-judgemental online space where teens in programs like 'Unearth' and 'The Poetry Door' can express their emotions, connect with peers, and discover the confidence that comes from owning their unique voice.
Workshops for Kids (Ages 8-11): Sparking Imagination
For my youngest writers, my workshops like 'Chasing Fireflies' are all about play, fun, and freedom. I create a space where there's no pressure to be perfect. Instead, we use games and playful activities to unlock their natural creativity, build confidence, and discover the pure joy of telling their own stories.
Writing Circles for Adults
My 'Enso Writing Circle' is a space for adults to connect with themselves, no writing experience needed. Through mindful writing prompts and shared reflection, we use writing not to create a masterpiece, but as a tool to navigate life, process thoughts, and find clarity and community.
For Parents: Raising Creative Kids
I believe that to raise creative children, we must first work on ourselves. My parent workshops are designed to help you unlearn perfectionism, practice mindful listening, and create a home environment where your child feels safe to be expressive and confident. The goal is a stronger, more open family connection.
My Philosophy: Writing as Self-Discovery
For me, writing is not the end goal; it is the means. It is a tool for digging deep, a companion on a lonely path, and a way to make sense of our inner and outer worlds. My workshops are built on the belief that everyone has a story, and the act of writing it can be a profound journey of healing and growth.
Collaborations: University & In-Person Events
Beyond my online circles, I am grateful for opportunities to lead in-person workshops at universities and other organizations. These collaborations allow me to connect with diverse groups, from college students to multicultural communities, reinforcing my belief that stories are the universal thread that ties us all together.
My Journey as a Writer & Sootradhar
My work is deeply personal. It is shaped by my own experiences as an immigrant, a mother, a poet, and a lifelong learner. I see myself not as a teacher, but as a *sootradhar*, a thread-holder, who gently guides and supports others on their own unique path of self-discovery through words.
