I use art as a bridge for child development, focusing on the 4 Cs: creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. Here is my approach to mindful, psychology-based creative growth.

My core belief is that nurturing a child's mental health is key to building confidence and resilience. Art and creative expression are powerful tools for achieving this.

What skills do our kids need for the future? In this video, I talk about the importance of the 4 Cs and how activities like art can help develop these essential 21st-century skills.

This explains the essence of childhood. My goal is to use art as a tool to support a child's natural curiosity, love for action, and search for happiness.

Children's Day is every day in my classes! This collage captures the happy, playful energy and friendships that blossom in our creative space.

Pure, unfiltered joy! These happy faces are the reason I do what I do. My workshops are a safe space for kids to be themselves and have fun.

The bonds of friendship formed over a shared art table. These moments of connection and collaboration are just as important as the art itself.

About My Art Philosophy & Tips for Parents

Many parents ask me how art fits into their child's busy school schedule. My answer is always the same: it is not an extra subject, it is a release. Whether we are doing right-brain exercises or storytelling, the goal is not a perfect drawing—it is creating a space where your child feels safe to experiment without the pressure of being graded or 'performing' for others.

Beyond the Canvas: My 'Art + Psychology' Approach

I started Kalarang Club because I saw how much pressure kids face today. Hum bachho ko baar-baar 'pado, study karo' (We repeatedly tell kids to 'study, study') bolte hain, which often leaves them feeling drained. My workshops in Dombivli and Sector 76, Noida, are designed to be the antidote to that. I don't teach them to draw perfectly; I teach them to express.

The 4 Cs of Development

Every session I run—whether it is clay modelling or a festival-themed craft—is built around four pillars:

  • Creativity: Thinking outside the box to solve visual problems.
  • Collaboration: Working with peers during group activities like storytelling sessions.
  • Critical Thinking: Making choices during art, like selecting colors or textures.
  • Communication: Learning to explain the feelings behind their artwork.

How We Work

I keep my batch sizes small—between 5 and 15 children. This allows me to observe each child's process. Are they frustrated? Are they rushing? We address these things in real-time. For offline sessions in Mumbai and Noida, I provide all the materials, so you just show up. For online Zoom sessions, I guide you through the process, helping parents facilitate the same mindful environment at home.

Whether you are looking for a weekend workshop to break the screen-time cycle or a recurring class to help your child build focus, my focus is always on the 'why' behind the art, not just the final result.

I am Sharvari, and at Kalarang Club, I blend art with child psychology to help kids find their spark. I believe that when children stop worrying about making a perfect drawing, they start building the confidence and critical thinking skills they actually need.
