Mindful Expressive Writing Circles for Adults
You do not need to be a writer to find clarity here. Bring your thoughts, leave the perfectionism behind, and join a circle where being heard is the only goal.
I believe in the power of daily reflection. Here I am with the book '365 Days of Wonder', which inspired my '48 Weeks of Wonder' online series. It's a simple, powerful practice for adults to connect with themselves through writing.
"Your life is your story, go write it." A prompt from my '48 Weeks of Wonder' series, encouraging participants to reflect on the life they want to create for themselves. Journaling is a powerful tool for self-coaching and discovery.
"Life is not colorful. Life is coloring." This profound precept sparked a moment of self-reflection for me during the '48 Weeks of Wonder' series. It’s a reminder that journaling is about the process, not a perfect, polished outcome.
"Normal is a setting on a washing machine." A thought-provoking quote we explored in our weekly writing practice. These prompts are designed to help us question our assumptions and connect with our authentic selves.
"Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken." The very first precept from our '48 Weeks of Wonder' series. This simple but powerful idea from Oscar Wilde is the foundation of the self-discovery journey we embark on together.
About this collection
In these sessions, we focus entirely on non-critique feedback. When you share your work, we prioritize the resonance of your story over literary skill, so you never have to worry about grammar or flow while you explore your own voice.
The Enso Writing Circle is not about producing a manuscript or chasing perfection. It is a four-week space designed for you to pause and reconnect with yourself.
How it works: We begin each session with grounding exercises to quiet the mental noise. From there, we move into specific, reflective prompts. These are not academic exercises. They are questions meant to help you unearth hidden thoughts and process your week.
The core of our group is the non-critique philosophy. Because I act as a sootradhar, or thread-holder, my job is to ensure everyone feels seen and safe. You read your work aloud if you choose, and the group responds with resonance, not judgment. You will interact with people from various time zones, adding diverse perspectives to our discussions.
Logistics: . Format: Weekly live circles on Zoom. . Duration: 90 to 120 minutes per session. . Support: Private email access for reflection between sessions. . Focus: Mindfulness, expressive writing, and peer support.
This space is built for anyone feeling stuck, anxious, or simply looking for community. You do not need to be a writer to belong here. You just need the willingness to show up.
Sailing Leaf
I’m Manmeet. I don’t treat writing as a skill to master, but as a tool to dig into your own truth. I’ve spent years creating these circles because I know how rare it is to find a place where you can just be, without having to perform or produce.
