People often ask how I started Sai Bariya's. This is the real, raw story behind my 5-year journey from a small-time reseller to building an award-winning Ayurvedic spa and brand in Thanjavur.

This is my story. I started from a middle-class family, working as a reseller, and faced a lot of negativity. But I believed in myself, learned everything about organic products, and built Sai Bariyas from scratch. If I can do it, you can too.

People often ask how I opened a shop at 25. Five years ago, people told me my business wouldn't work. I ignored the demotivation, focused on my goal, and kept working. Let this be a sign for you to start your own journey.

A busy day at Sai Bariyas! From printing addresses for our many orders to setting up a new room in our Ayurvedic spa, there's always something happening. We finished all the packing just in time for the courier pickup!

About My Story: From Reseller to Founder

When I started, I was just a reseller working for others, constantly trying to clear family debts. Everything changed when a manufacturer publicly shamed me for sharing customer feedback—feedback that I thought was helpful. That moment broke me, but it also forced me to pivot. Instead of quitting, I went back to my roots, researching the patti vaithiyam (grandmother’s remedies) I grew up with. I started making my own nalangu maavu and serums in my kitchen. That shift from reselling to manufacturing wasn't about having a big budget; it was about understanding exactly what our Indian skin needs, one homemade batch at a time.
