From Reseller to Founder: My Ayurvedic Skincare Journey

When I started, I was just a reseller working for others, constantly trying to clear family debts. Everything changed when a manufacturer publicly shamed me for sharing customer feedback—feedback that I thought was helpful. That moment broke me, but it also forced me to pivot. Instead of quitting, I went back to my roots, researching the patti vaithiyam (grandmother’s remedies) I grew up with. I started making my own nalangu maavu and serums in my kitchen. That shift from reselling to manufacturing wasn't about having a big budget; it was about understanding exactly what our Indian skin needs, one homemade batch at a time.

Building Sai Bariya’s wasn't easy. For years, people told me that homemade products wouldn't work in a market flooded with big brands. I was told to 'do something real' instead of wasting my time. I ignored the negativity and focused on the only thing that mattered: results. I learned that growth doesn't happen overnight. It takes consistency, testing ingredients, and genuinely listening to the community.

My approach today is simple. I don't use harsh chemicals, parabens, or sulphates. Whether you are dealing with acne, sun tan, or just looking to maintain healthy skin, I believe the answers are already in our traditional recipes. From those humble beginnings printing labels at home, I am proud to have built a community where we share routines, detox tips, and habits that actually work.

Today, I am grateful for the recognition, including the Women Entrepreneur Award 2024 and Kalam's World Record. But the real reward isn't the trophy; it’s the messages I get every day from people saying their skin has finally started to glow.
