My Creative Journey: Sustainable Art and Business
Welcome to my world of Dyehome. I turn beetroot stems, fallen leaves, and kitchen scraps into beautiful, sustainable art. Here is a peek into the experiments and milestones that fuel my passion for nature and entrepreneurship.
Hello and welcome. My work is all about creating, teaching, and exploring the world of sustainable art. This is the heart of Dyehome, a place where art and nature come together.
I am so grateful to share this milestone. Over the last four years, my small home studio has produced over 7100 meters of naturally dyed fabrics for brands that believe in sustainability. This journey proves that a passion for handmade art can grow into a successful business.
A look back at my natural pigment dye experiments from 2020. Every swatch book like this is filled with learning, mistakes, and discoveries. This is the hands-on process that I share with you in my classes.
Look at these beautiful handmade paper samples, each one created at home. I believe everyone has the ability to create valuable, sellable art. My coaching is designed to help you unlock that potential and turn your craft into a source of income.
A little reminder for all my fellow small business owners. The festive season is a special time for us to shine. Keep creating, keep working hard, your time is now.
About My Creative Journey & Inspiration
You might see the finished prints, but the real story is in the experiments—the failed indigo batches, the dried petals that didn't hold color, and the hundreds of fabric swatches that didn't make the cut. Every technique I share in my classes is the result of years of testing what actually works in a standard home setup, so you can skip those mistakes and start creating your own sustainable art right away.
From Hobby to Home Business
Turning a passion for natural colors into a sustainable business wasn't easy. It involved plenty of trial and error to figure out what was just a fun weekend activity versus what could actually be sold. My journey is rooted in Ayurvastra, the science of healing through cloth and color, and I have translated those ancient techniques into modern, manageable practices for fellow artists.
Why I Share My Process
I believe that creativity shouldn't be hidden behind a veil of mystery. Over the last four years, my studio has produced over 7100 meters of naturally dyed fabrics, working with conscious brands who value the environment as much as I do. Seeing this impact proved to me that we don't need heavy chemicals or large factories to create something valuable. We just need the right approach.
