My Story & Slow-Living Philosophy
I traded 9-to-5 stress for the scent of lavender and the slow, messy joy of handmade skincare. This is the heart behind Bath & Being, where nature meets intention, one small batch at a time.
Handcrafting self-care is my love language to the world. It's my way of sharing a piece of my philosophy, inspired by nature and the simple joy of creating.
This is the propaganda I live by. Slow mornings, pleasure as an investment, and the belief that handmade things carry soul. This is the philosophy I pour into every product and workshop.
I totally fell for the propaganda that you can quit your 9-to-5 and build a life where your desk smells like lavender, not despair. It's been a wild ride, but I wouldn't trade it.
A little peek into my world. I'm the one behind the brand, standing here in my studio, surrounded by the ingredients and ideas that bring Bath & Being to life.
That's a soap in my hand, not a cake. This picture captures the playful spirit of my brand and the incredible feeling after a successful Diwali season, all thanks to word-of-mouth support from my amazing customers.
A real look at the life of a small business owner. Juggling bulk orders, new product testing, and my own mental health. It's not always easy, but I'm proud of myself for slaying my orders and not giving up.
There's a science to the art of candle making. Using my heat gun to get that perfect smooth top is a crucial step. It's these little details that make a handmade product special.
Working hard for something you love is called passion. This is me in my element, pouring a bulk order of dreamy scented soy wax candles, each one topped with botanicals and made with love.
Sometimes I feel like a chemist in my lab. Here I am, in my lab coat and goggles, formulating and creating. It's a messy, precise, and deeply rewarding process.
About My Story & Slow-Living Philosophy
When you choose handmade, you are not just buying a product; you are supporting a process that values raw ingredients over mass-market convenience. Whether it is using cold-pressed oils, wild turmeric, or setting up a 2 AM candle pour, every item I create comes from a desire to reclaim slow, intentional living.
Why Handmade Matters
For me, Bath & Being is not just about skincare; it is about reclaiming the ritual of caring for yourself. I started with one burner in my kitchen, driven by the belief that modern, mass-produced items lack the soul—and the effectiveness—of things crafted with intention. When you use a botanical soap or a massage candle, you are connecting with earth-derived elements like mango butter, hemp oil, and fresh fruit pulps, not synthetic chemicals.
The Reality Behind the Brand
Let’s be honest: my life is not always zen. It is often me, a heat gun, and a stubborn emulsifier trying to get the perfect texture. There are days filled with 2 AM formulations and the chaos of juggling bulk orders, but that is the reality of a small business owner. It is messy, it is raw, and that is precisely why it feels so good. I have learned that slow living does not mean standing still; it means moving with purpose.
Join the Journey
Whether you are curious about my DIY soap-making workshops at my Arakere studio or want me to set up a live, interactive skincare station at your event, I invite you to be part of this. My workshops are about teaching you that you can make things, that you have the power to step away from the screen, use your hands, and create something tangible. It is therapeutic, it is local, and it is a little piece of the wild I am sharing with you. Let’s get messy and make something real.
