A collection of my work focusing on biophilic design, hybrid timber construction, and upcycled aesthetics. These spaces prioritize local materials and passive solar principles to create homes that truly breathe.

This bedroom in my 'Aangan' project embodies my core belief: creating homes that are in constant dialogue with nature. The space opens up to an internal courtyard, flooding the room with natural light and blurring the lines between the indoors and outdoors, creating a tranquil, biophilic retreat.

Here I am at the Conscious Collective, sharing my research on Hybrid Timber Construction, or 'Hyber'. This project is inspired by the indigenous building technologies of Northeast India and represents my commitment to developing sustainable architectural systems for the future.

I believe in the power of simplicity to create calm. This minimalist bedroom is designed as a serene sanctuary, using a clean white palette and large windows that frame the natural landscape, proving that sustainable design can be both modern and tranquil.

Details are everything in creating a truly organic space. Here, a staircase made of local wood is set against a wall of stone recovered from the site, with an indoor garden of river gravel and native plants thriving below. It's a celebration of natural, locally sourced materials.

Take a quick tour of the 'Aangan' house living area. You can feel the sense of volume from the double-height ceiling and see how the floor-to-ceiling windows connect the space directly to the outdoors, creating a home that truly breathes.

True sustainability means finding beauty in what others discard. This is a close-up of a feature wall I created from upcycled tree skin, a waste product from the timber industry. Now, it serves as a natural canvas for ivy to grow, becoming a living piece of art.

When I build with timber, I use traditional joinery that skips industrial glues entirely, ensuring healthier indoor air quality. You will notice this approach in my 'Aangan' courtyard projects where every element—from salvaged stone to local pine—is selected to feel raw, breathable, and permanently connected to the outdoors.

This home is a living example of bioclimatic architecture, designed to work in harmony with nature. The structure is built from Compressed Stabilised Earth Blocks (CSEB) made from the very soil of the site, minimizing our carbon footprint. This low-angle view from the basement level shows how every part of the home, including the stairways and bridges, is designed for natural light and ventilation.5
The interior of this home celebrates its "hand-made" origins, where every detail is intentional. I used exposed local quartzite stone for the walls to provide natural texture and thermal mass, contrasting it with modern glass and simple furnishings. This space demonstrates my belief that sustainable design can be both rustic and refined.
Here I am on the exterior bridge of the green home, a project that truly embodies my philosophy. My process involves being deeply connected to the site, guiding the use of hand-made materials and ensuring the design serves both the people within and the environment around it. This is how I help sow the seeds of a greener future.
This is the basement lounge area, an earth-sheltered space that remains cool in the summer and warm in the winter without artificial systems. To bring in light, I incorporated a glass-panelled well, turning a structural necessity into a source of beauty. This approach to energy conservation and natural light is central to my work.

This home is a symphony of concrete and creativity. I designed this facade to be a living sculpture, where fluid lines and bold forms create a home that is as extraordinary to behold as it is to live in.10
To bring nature inside, I designed this double-height living space around a central green courtyard. The large glass walls and open layout blur the line between indoors and outdoors, creating a sanctuary of calm and light.
I believe in the honesty of materials. This washbasin, sculpted from a single piece of reclaimed wood, is not just a functional object but a piece of art that tells a story of nature's raw beauty.

This is what I mean by bringing nature indoors. I transformed this home's courtyard into a tranquil, light-filled sanctuary with rich wooden flooring and a living vertical garden, creating a seamless connection between the inside and out.8
I don't just use natural materials, I build with them. This is the Silbatti restaurant in Bangalore, a project I designed and constructed entirely from bamboo, from the main structure to the fine interior details.
Even a small city balcony can become your personal escape. For this cozy transformation, I used a lush vertical garden, warm fairy lights, and comfortable wooden furniture to create a perfect spot for relaxation.
My design philosophy extends to every corner of the home. Here, I created a sleek and modern living area with custom cabinetry, ambient lighting, and statement furniture, proving that contemporary style and natural comfort can coexist beautifully.

Children look out from a *jharokha* window at the Butterflies Resilience Centre. We used upcycled doors and windows from an old haveli, giving them a new home and weaving a sense of history and continuity into the building's fabric. For me, architecture must create these moments of simple joy and connection.8
The central courtyard of our LEED Platinum certified office in Noida. The space is designed around a water body that acts as a natural heat sink, passively cooling the building and creating a tranquil heart for the workplace. This is how we build spaces that breathe.

This is the People Tree House, a project that embodies my core belief in harmonious living. The design creates a multi-level experience, connecting interior spaces with a central water body and lush greenery, all while using a palette of natural stone and wood.8
I believe staircases should be sculptural centerpieces. In this apartment for filmmakers, cantilevered concrete steps emerge from a random rubble stone wall, creating a dramatic ascent towards a skylight that bathes the space in natural light.
Functional spaces like kitchens can also be works of art. Here, exposed load-bearing brick vaults form the ceiling, contrasting with modern cabinetry and a custom breakfast table, proving that structural honesty and daily life can coexist beautifully.
This view captures the essence of biophilic design. An indoor pond, filled with indigenous plants, sits below a ceiling dotted with inverted earthen pots, designed to encourage birds to nest and feel at home within the architecture.
