About Sustainable Interior Design
My Design Belief
I create spaces that feel at home with nature. For me, sustainable design is more than just a buzzword - it’s about homes that breathe easy and bring a sense of calm. The old-school ways from Northeast India guide a lot of what I do. I’m always thinking about future generations, not just the now.
How I Work
I don’t just pick pretty stuff - I go deep with research to figure out what makes a space truly sustainable and good for you.
- I love trying out new things with timber, bamboo, and even salvaged materials - upcycled interior decor is a big part of my work.
- Local artisans are my go-to for real, authentic touches. Their work brings soul to a place.
What Your Space Feels Like
The vibe? Minimalist sustainable interiors - clean, open, not too much.
- I’m big on ‘Aangan’ setups (the courtyard) and large windows to keep nature close.
- You’ll see earthy, organic materials everywhere - local timber for warmth and stone or river gravel for that real feel.
Details Matter
From hand-painted carpets to staircases mixing steel and wood, I sweat the small stuff. It’s these little things that make your home feel like yours.
Why Choose This Approach
I want your home to be healthy, peaceful, and part of the planet, not fighting it. Let’s build something good together.

My Story
Hey, we’re SAFE. Our roots run deep in Shillong, picking up tricks from the old 'Assam type' houses—those quake-ready beauties with bamboo and timber. We got curious, so we mixed local wisdom with new tech, even nerded out at TUDelft. Big fans of Revathi Kamath, too. For us, architecture means making spaces that hug you back—like an 'Aangan' courtyard, your own slice of nature. Cozy, earthy, and yeah, safe.
My Work
Sustainable architecture and interiors - We design homes, community spaces, and interiors that put nature first, blending old and new ideas.
Timber joinery without glue - We push for timber and bamboo buildings, using joinery that skips glue for a cleaner environment.
Local techniques meet modern science - We rework Northeast Indian methods, updating them for today with research and experimentation.
Upcycled timber facades and art - Old timber, tree skin—if it’s waste, we turn it into something beautiful for your space.
Collaborating with artisans - We team up with craftspeople, share our research, and build digital tools for a greener future.
