Hand-Painted Miniature Art for Your Home
Small windows into vast landscapes and soul-stirring melodies. I paint these tiny worlds to help you find a moment of stillness in your space.
A collection of my miniature landscape paintings, each framed and ready to bring a small moment of scenery into a home. These small canvases are painted with just as much heart as my large murals.
A selection of miniature paintings from 'The Twenty-Fifth Note' series, featuring various musical instruments from a Santoor and bagpipes to a harp. Each piece is a tribute to the divine path found in music.
An overhead view of dozens of miniature landscape paintings scattered together. Each one captures a different sky, a different mood, a different fleeting moment in nature.
'The Twenty-Fifth Note' series explores the connection between music and spirituality. This miniature painting of a harp, seen through a leaf, hints at the silent, soulful note beyond creation.
A miniature painting of an Ektara, a single-stringed instrument, from 'The Twenty-Fifth Note' collection. The detail in the small canvas celebrates the beauty of traditional instruments.
A miniature painting of a Tabla set, part of a series dedicated to the art of music. The intricate details on the small canvas are a meditation on rhythm and sound.
My hand holding a miniature painting of a Saraswati Veena. These small artworks are personal and precious, each holding a universe of sound and story.
A detailed miniature painting of a set of bagpipes, showcasing the plaid pattern and intricate form of the instrument on a small canvas.
Holding a miniature landscape painting of rolling green hills under a pink sky. These small pieces are like tiny windows to vast, imaginary places.
Two miniature landscape paintings, one of a moody sky over water and the other of a solitary blue tree in a field. Each small canvas captures a distinct atmosphere.
About Small Worlds: Miniature Paintings
Each miniature piece, ranging from 4x4 to 8x8 inches, arrives ready to display with its own deep-set box frame in natural pine or teak. These are not just small paintings, they are complete objects designed to sit comfortably on a bookshelf, a desk, or as a collection on a gallery wall. I focus on fine brushwork that requires close-up viewing, so you can see the texture of the acrylics even on the smallest canvas.
When I work on these series, like 'The Twenty-Fifth Note' or my landscape studies, I am looking for the silent, soulful connection between a subject and the viewer. A small painting doesn't just fill a gap; it invites you to step closer and pay attention.
My Process and Materials
Every piece begins on a high-precision mini-canvas block or archival paper. I use heavy-body acrylics to ensure that even on a tiny scale, the colors retain their depth and vibrancy. For paper-based works, I use acid-free professional mounting to ensure the art lasts without yellowing or degrading.
How to Display
These miniatures are versatile because of their size. If you have a blank nook, a bedside table, or a narrow wall, a single piece acts as a quiet focal point. For larger walls, I often suggest collecting a set of four or more to create a grid. Because I include pre-installed hanging hardware and framing as part of the price (ranging from ₹3500 to ₹6000 per piece), they are ready to go the moment you receive them.
Themes and Inspiration
I am currently working on two main paths for miniatures:
- Micro-Landscapes: Capturing the mood of a sunset or a solitary tree with bold, expressive strokes.
- Heritage and Sound: Detailed studies of traditional instruments like the Veena or Tabla, exploring the rhythm of music through paint.
If you have a memory or a specific instrument you want to see captured in miniature, reach out. I enjoy working on pieces that carry personal meaning for your home.
