We believe a true rider is a true partner to their horse. At Royal Equestrian Academy, your training goes beyond the saddle, teaching you the essential skills of grooming, tacking up, and post-ride care.

Rest is just as important as training. We ensure our horses get proper downtime to recover and recharge, because a well-rested horse is a happy and high-performing partner.

Horsemanship includes learning to care for your horse's equipment and well-being. Here, a student learns how to properly clean and care for her horse's hooves, an essential part of our curriculum.

Learning doesn't only happen in the saddle. This video shows a theory session on the parts of a saddle and bridle, part of our comprehensive approach to equestrian education.

We are proud of our students who embrace all aspects of horsemanship. This collage celebrates a rider's journey, including learning essential horse care skills.

A relaxing hack through the trails is a great way for our horses to unwind before a big competition. This gentle exercise keeps them mentally fresh and happy.

True horsemanship begins with care. We teach all our riders how to properly unsaddle and look after their horses post-ride, fostering a deep sense of responsibility and connection.

About The REA Way: Horsemanship & Horse Care

Most schools just put you on a horse and lead you around. Here, you start by learning how to brush, groom, and saddle up your horse yourself. It is not just for show; it is how you build trust with your partner before you even get in the saddle. You will learn to handle their temperament and care for their needs, because we believe a rider who cannot look after their horse is not yet a true horseman.

Our approach is rooted in the idea that horsemanship is a full-time responsibility, not just an hour-long session. When you train with us at our Sarjapur Road facility, you are not a passenger. You are a student of the horse.

The REA Disciplined Approach

We teach the full cycle of interaction. You learn to clean hooves, check for injuries, brush the coat, and properly secure the girth. This is physically demanding work, but it creates a level of discipline that shows in the ring. By the time you mount, you already know the mood and energy of your horse.

Why This Matters

  • Safety: Understanding horse behavior and body language keeps you safe. A horse that trusts you as their handler is a horse that listens to you as their rider.
  • The Bond: Spending time on the ground builds a connection that cannot be forced in the saddle.
  • Practical Skill: If you ever plan to own a horse or lease one, these foundational grooming and tacking skills are non-negotiable.

We keep the theory to a minimum. You learn by doing. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics of a lunge line or an advanced rider prepping a performance horse, the standard of care remains the same. You will work, you will sweat, and you will learn the actual craft of riding.

I’m Subedar Suresh. After 30 years in the army, I learned that true riding isn't just about winning medals; it’s about the bond you build with the horse. My team and I focus on disciplined, hands-on training where you learn to look after your partner as much as you learn to ride.
