This infographic provides helpful tips for parents on how to introduce their child to the world of robotics, from basic kits and DIY projects to online classes and competitions.

This video answers frequently asked questions about introducing robotics to a child, such as the right age to start and whether prior coding experience is needed.

To help kids overcome a fear of math, we encourage consistent practice. This reinforces skills and improves proficiency in a supportive environment.

We make math relevant by showing how it is used in daily life. These real-world applications spark interest and deepen understanding.

About Guidance for Parents

The biggest mistake parents make is forcing theory on a child who just wants to build. We use a framework called the P.I.E. Plan—Play, Invest, Explore—which prioritizes hands-on interaction over rote memorization. Before you book a full course, consider whether your child responds better to tactile activities like building robots or logic-based puzzles like coding games, as this preference dictates the best entry point for their learning path.

The P.I.E. Plan: A Roadmap for Parents

Many parents come to our HSR Layout center asking where to begin. It is a valid question, as the field of STEM is vast. Our P.I.E. framework is designed to help you make informed decisions based on your child's current interests.

1. Play First Start with low-pressure engagement. Before signing up for intensive classes, introduce your child to basic robotics kits, coding-based board games, or simple STEM activities at home. The goal here is to ignite curiosity, not to test their academic ability. If they enjoy the process of tinkering, you know they are ready for the next step.

2. Invest Smartly Once interest is sparked, move to structured learning environments. Look for programs that offer micro-batches (like our 2-5 student groups). This ensures that your child is not just a face in a crowd but a participant who receives direct code reviews and feedback. We focus on Python basics and logic structures here, ensuring they build a strong foundation before jumping into complex AI.

3. Explore the Future Finally, connect their skills to real-world applications. This includes competitive exams, Olympiad preparation, or building a portfolio of projects. Whether it is Python for kids or competitive robotics, the focus shifts to solving problems and creating independent projects like games or websites.

Common Questions Answered

  • Do they need prior coding experience? Not at all. Many of our students are total beginners who have never written a line of code. We teach from scratch.
  • Is robotics expensive? It does not have to be. By choosing modular programs and focusing on essential skills, you can introduce tech education that fits your budget without compromising on quality.
  • What if my child is shy? Our small batch sizes are specifically designed to help quieter children feel comfortable asking questions and collaborating with peers in a relaxed setting.

Hi, I am Dhananjay Singh. I started Roboprenr because I saw too many kids memorizing code instead of understanding how to use it. My goal is to make sure your child feels that spark of excitement when a robot they built actually works, not just pressure to get the grades.
