Backstage Team Management

Managing a team of artists in a frantic backstage environment requires strict coordination. I oversee the prep line, ensuring artists are executing the assigned looks efficiently. This includes setting up rapid touch-up stations at the ramp entrance for last-minute adjustments. Speed and consistency are non-negotiable here; the makeup must be applied correctly the first time to avoid delays before the showstopper steps out.

Technical Runway Demands

Runway makeup serves a different purpose than editorial or commercial work. It needs to be bold enough to read from the audience while looking natural under professional stage lights. My kit for live events is heavily stocked with long-wear, transfer-proof products and specialized setting techniques.
