Backstage at a runway show moves incredibly fast, and my role as a lead artist is to ensure every model looks polished before they hit the ramp. We focus on durable makeup that holds up under hot stage lights and high-definition filming, prioritizing quick touch-ups and clean lines that translate well from the front row to the back.
The Key Artist Role
When I step into a runway show, my responsibility goes beyond makeup application. It is about leadership and operational precision. I collaborate with designers and brands to create specific face charts, ensuring every model matches the show's theme while accounting for lighting conditions and stage angles. From the Wella Professionals showcase to various fashion weeks, I handle the look design, product selection, and timing to ensure the aesthetic remains consistent across the entire cast.

This includes setting up rapid touch-up stations at the ramp entrance for last-minute adjustments.
