About this collection
I don't believe in boring, endless drills that kill the joy of music. In my classes, we jump straight into playing the songs you actually love—whether it's the latest Bollywood track or a timeless classic—while teaching you the chords and strumming patterns on the side. You'll walk out of your first few sessions with a song under your belt and a smile on your face.
How We Make Music Real
At Riyaaz with Nishaa, my goal is to get you playing, not just reading theory from a book. My guitar and ukulele batches in Ghatkopar are designed for absolute beginners and those looking to refine their skills.
What you can expect:
- Small Batch Focus: I keep batches limited to 4-6 students. This means you aren't just one face in a crowd; you get personal feedback on your hand placement, posture, and rhythm.
- The 'Song-First' Approach: We start by learning the chords to your favorite songs. We break them down into bite-sized patterns, so you feel a sense of achievement from day one.
- No Gear? No Problem: You don't need to buy anything before you start. I provide in-class use of my acoustic and electric guitars, plus ukuleles, so you can test what feels right for you.
- Beyond the Basics: Once you’ve got the foundation, we explore different techniques like fingerpicking, palm muting, and percussive strumming to give your sound more texture.
Why Choose This Path?
Music is more than a hobby; it is a way to express what words cannot. Whether you are prepping for a Trinity or Gandharva exam or just want to jam with friends, we build a curriculum that fits your speed. We don't judge mistakes—we learn from them. Mistakes are just proof that you are trying.
If you are worried about whether you have the 'talent' to learn, let’s clear that up: you don't need to be born with it. You just need to show up and practice. Toh Zinda ho Tum! (You’re truly alive!) when you’re making music.
Riyaaz with Nishaa
